I know category extensions have already been discussed, but there is a surprising amount of skips you can do. However, they do not pass the checkpoints. A no checkpoints category extension would be cool, as it allows new skips to be found and hopefully make the community more active again.
I use in game time for leaderboard positions. I rather not have to time runs frame by frame, accounting for minute differences which could lead to time disputes. Using the timer also isn't great, as you can only measure by the second. So because of all of that, I am not adding checkpoint skips as an extra category. I think it's too niche.
Get slush0puppie's retimer. All the rta mods use it. All you do is press < / > . / , to move a frame on a youtube video. Once you're on the starting frame just right click and copy the debug info and put it in the system. Do the same for end frame, put in the fps and it calculates the time.
You can reject a run for bad frame rate if it's really bad (like under 20 or something). Also, technically speaking it'd be slower.
I have the retimer. I use it for the other games I moderate. It still doesn't change the fact that going by eye on when you cross the finish line is unreliable and tedious to do. As I said before, the idea for it is too niche to implement.
the community currently is the most active its probably ever been what
@bboccio66 if you're too lazy to do it yourself then hire Mr.Pringles or somebody else to do it
As a community request, jumpless and boostless were added as full-game categories.
I added Luxtra as a moderator (since they moderate the SBB discord), and added Rube7, YT_Valentin and dankdarkel_ as verifiers to keep up with submissions.
