The AdvancedPicoBeena and the Sega Pico are the same thing, so why are they two different consoles on sr.c?
I believe they are different consoles actually https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sega_video_game_consoles
@TRLittleToaster I'm not actually sure lol. The Sega Pico shows up when you search for the advanced pico beena.
It seems like the site has become very loose with adding new platforms. I noticed that 2DSXL was recently added, even though it should be exactly the same as a New 3DS for speedrun purposes.

[/quote] I think it's just cause the advanced pico beena is like really obscure, it only released in Japan and it was meant for little kids so I don't think it had much of a legacy lol
Pico:
"Technical specifications CPU: 16-bit Motorola 68000 RAM: 64 KB of Main RAM Video RAM: 64 KB ROM: "Storyware" cartridges of various sizes. Video: YM7101 ASIC, which was replaced with an FQ8007 ASIC in newer units. Sound: Texas Instruments SN76489 programmable sound generator and an NEC µPD7759 PCM chip. Input: "Magic pen" with an action button at its tip, a four button directional pad, and one on-board action button."
Beena:
"The technical specifications of the Beena are not currently known, however the system is known to have a 32-bit ARM7TDMI CPU clocked at 81MHz."
I dunno. Seems sufficiently different to me. Not familiar with them, I'm also pretty sure that is one of those things with many slightly different models released for specific times/places.
A 2DSXL may not have a meaningfully different than a 3DS; but it's a matter of accuracy to know what Hardware a run is done on.
