The 3DS version has it and I think the Ironman challenge is very cool and the wii u is faster at the online mode.
Personally, I think it's cool, but I wouldn't consider it a speed category. It's boostable and I'm not one for speedruns involving online, if you can convince me and tell me why it should be here feel free and I'll be sure to take it into consideration
I would totally do an iron man run. It sounds like a lot of fun. Having it on 3DS (a system that is difficult to record) and not having it on Wii U seems a bit off to me. Interesting RNG-esque concept of a run, though. In my personal opinion, I'd say there'd be no harm in adding it. I bet a lot of people would enjoy it.

my one reason I'm not for it is online, it's 100% based on your opponent, if your opponent is like 5 years old it's a free win and gives certain runs certain disadvantages, I've considered adding it, but also with dlc characters, not everyone has all dlc characters and so then the argument is: "Make the runners buy the dlc" or "no dlc characters"
I would say the best thing to do is restrict DLC characters. Only use all of the regular characters (after they have been unlocked, of course)
On 3DS, two people, including Alpharad, had a good time doing it. I only imagine it would be even better on Wii U
Lag and opponents will decide the time of the run, but having skill will definitely make it faster
I imagine this would be considered more of a "fun" category rather than a competitive one, so I don't see the harm in adding it

As for the online/RNG issue, it seems like 100 Mario Challenge runs in SMM. RNG-based, but still fun.
So is this happening or not? Only 1 mod has responded to it, and that was over a month ago. Do any of the other mods want to weigh in?
