As we're seeing more and more states, it could be fun to have a category dedicated to visiting every city within a state. I could see a lot of ways you could route it depending on the state, might be fun. Being unrestrictive as to what city you start in would allow for a lot of freedom in trying to figure out the best routing.

An interesting idea, so it would be a New Profile run where you discover all cities, much like the All Capital Cities in ETS2

I have considered this before, but with state capitals, but then it gets too large... individual states might be much better.

That was also the idea behind the Idaho Viewpoints run (back when the Viewpoints were first added in that DLC so it was a novelty).

My reason for using Viewpoints instead of Cities for that (other than the new game element) was because it was a fixed point that would not likely change as much with game versions, whereas cities may be added or reworked.

But also... I'm not sure about having every state - Texas would be a very long run XD

And some of them are also rather boring driving with many straight roads.

If you have a favourite that you would like to suggest putting forward, then if you record a run of it and post a link to it here or in the discord, I would be happy to add the category.

Thats fair, I'll probably try some runs tonight on stream and see what states might be worth a shot. Texas is definetly huge, its probably the only state where it wouldnt be feasible lol

So I'm thinking rules-wise, is it basically new profile where you set your start point in whatever city you want within that state, and the moment you start to move is when time starts, time finishes when you discover the last city? That's what im going to go with

Unsure, because there has not been much appetite in running the category as it is. Some states may be more interesting than others - Idaho has some variety in the roadways at least. I think it makes sense to be selective, but I'm open to which may be good to have added.

I did a run of Nebraska for fun, I'm gonna try oregon as I think that will be more varied.
