This site needs run categories for Time Attack for all Tekken games past 1 as they have static rules and cannot be changed.
Well, if you wanna do Time Attack runs, then check the Level Leaderboard for most Tekken games. You'd be doing one TA run per character. Putting up 'full-game' TA categories wouldn't make that much sense to me, since it would be too similar to the more fitting categories that we have now.
It was an awkward compromise to make. Most speedruns are done starting from a blank save, and Time Attack doesn't unlock anything. It's more like a showcase, running one individual character as is, which is why they're kept as individual levels. Playing through Arcade/Story Mode unlocks other characters and endings, so it feels more like a progressive run. It also allows for different categories based on difficulty and round number, which benefits everyone who has an interest in running Tekken as they can run the category they like. Different difficulties have their own strats, and many prefer playing on one round as it removes repetitiveness and makes the run faster overall.
Immediately after i posted this, I found the time attack stuff. Thanks for verifying.
This is my favorite mode as you cannot change the settings and makes it great for competitive speedruns per character.
I tried hard to get Twin Galaxies to have individual character seconds for this and they wouldn't budge, so I made my own site Tekken Time Attack Central back in 2002/3. Good times.
I have a bunch off tekken 2 runs also... pics only i think.
Twin Galaxies to have individual character seconds for this and they wouldn't budge.
It's "great" when they don't understand anything about the game. So bloody "great" in every way.

I do and i will spikestuff!
I only have screenshots of my times and one other player left as we held the entire leaderboard. And my old site is not online anymore obviously, but it is backed up.
I had other screens from other players but i don't know where they went. I'll have to check my backups.
I have to say that i had a huge smile on my face watching some YouTube vids of Shirdel doing runs on Tekken 3. A lot of the character strategies he was using are ones we developed back then and posted to Tekken Zaibatsu and GameFAQs.
I'm glad i found this place! Good stuff.
Nope, can't find anyone else's proof except myself and xit_vono. I'll post his times soon. @Spikestuff, how should I do this?
Just create a list here and when providing images/video put a bracket around it so it won't embed. We can manually just place them in, since it's not wise to submit under your own name.
37 seconds after stage 8 in Time Attack with Paul then Heihachi and Ogre ruined the run... so close to sub-50 back then... but so far away ;_;
Submitting times for Jim Leonard (xit_vono) for Tekken 3 Time Attack Mode on Playstation 1.

Yeah Konqrr, my original runs were entirely based off of your strats! I've developed a few of my own since then, and I've basically been expanding on that ever since, really. Thanks for those times, we'll get them up when we can, it's a fair bit of effort :P
