Hey guys, I'm wanting to start speed running LM but I only have the European version. I was wondering if there is any way of playing the Japanese disc on my European Gamecube or Wii?

on gc, you can use an action replay disc which comes with a "freeloader" functionality. Google for "action replay freeloader gamecube disc" or similar.

Not sure if there's another way.

I can't answer on behalf of the leaderboards mods, but as long as you're just starting out and not getting top 10 times, I wouldn't worry about it much.

What you want to do is either hack your wii to get around the region lock, or get a japanese wii. We don't mind as long as you're loading the official disc. Freeloading is also acceptable, but Wii is somewhat faster, and I would say it's probably more user friendly

Ebay is usually a cheaper and faster resource over amazon. They seem to be in consistent supply there as well.
