On Small Ant's guide, it says you have to have a physical copy with a serial number ending in 000. Why is this?
That is because Smallant’s tutorials are outdated. Those tutorials were made back when 1.0.0 was the fastest version. The new fastest version is 1.3.0 because of faster loads. Also a Digital copy of the game is faster than a physical copy. For updated tutorials you can go to Tomshii’s YT channel.
What Davide said is important, but if you HAVE to get 1.0, then it's important because a cart with the serial number ending in "000" has version 1.0.0 of the game installed on it. iirc if you have a "001" serial number then it's a 1.1.0 cart, and since it has 1.1.0 installed on it, you literally cannot get version 1.0.0 using that cart. (Maybe you can through homebrew but I'm not sure if you can without pirating the game which is obviously illegal)
I know 1.3.0 is faster I want to get 1.3.0 fist, and if I get into smo, then I would get 1.0.0. If it isn't worth it for the fun of clips, which it might not be, then I wouldn't, I also don't have a switch yet, soo.
wdym "get into smo" 1.0 is only optimal for 2 ce's and one of them nobody really runs and the other only 5 run with like 2 being active
clips are still possible on 1.2. Sphynx clip, turnip clip, and spinthrow clips are patched, but everything else isn't. 1.0 is only useful for Min Caps (which basically nobody runs). If you want to get started running the main board categories, then a Digital copy on 1.3 is fastest. If you want to run min caps (Don't, the 1.0 only trick sucks) or star% (Don't, the 1.0 only trick sucks) at a top level, then get a Physical copy of 1.0. I'd recommend 1.3, as you can still run Min Caps on it.
Well yes, but it isn't necessarily a clip. Other glitches were patched in 1.3, but most of the clips are still possible.
