I've been watching a number of people speed running mastermode hardcore as an ultimate challenge and it would be great if there were categories for this on speedrun.com. The current record is 8 hours 11 minutes by mrsephy on twitch and I've love to see more competition in this ultimate challenge. Could the mods add these categories?
They are already variables, but not their seperate categories. If you click on Filter, then Difficulty, then Master, the site only displays Master Mode runs. However, there is no variable for hardcore, as it almost never affects the actual gameplay

It seems to me that hardcore does significantly affect gameplay since it forces you to take fewer risks, and all the normal runs I've seen involve numerous deaths in somewhat questionable circumstances such as killing WOF after you have died which is not possible on hardcore. If it isn't too difficult it would be very nice to have hardcore added as a category.
I added a 'Master Hardcore' option to the existing Difficulty variable. That's the best we can do with the limited customizability of the leaderboard. Master hardcore runs will appear along with all the other difficulties, unless, as icy said, you use filters and select a specific difficulty to show.
