Super Gameboy ?

I wanted to ask, if there was any thought to allowing the Super Gameboy to the list of Consoles, so Some people who Only have a Super Gameboy (Like Me) to try & Speed Run Gameboy Games... just a thought. I know it runs the game different, that why I said add it as Another Console, so it can have it's own set of rules... if not it's whatever. I just wanted to put it out there

In general, SGB runs aren't accepted on the overwhelming majority of the games because the SGB does not accurate emulate the game boy game. Specifically, playing on a SGB speeds the game up 2.4%. The SGB2 fixed this problem, but only works on a Super Famicom.

Is emulating a game boy not an option? Emulators such as BGB and Gambette are accurate.

Is that isn't an option, I can consider adding the run, but 2.4% would definitely be added to the time.

ok. I don't use either of those emulators.... I use an App called Classicboy...... honestly, i think I am ok with the % added to the time... I will submit the runs I have & I'll let you be the judge... thanks for answering my question

Can we get the Super Gameboy its own section.. I also have a Super Gameboy. I have never noticed a diffrence but if its that big of a diffrence it should get its own section

I’m more than happy to accept sgb runs, but the time will be adjusted (multiplied by 1.024 roughly). It’s a minuscule difference, but it is a tiny advantage over a normal gameboy. Adjusting super game boy runs this way is pretty much the situation for any game that accepts sgb runs, as the difference is well known and documented. if they are allowed NihilistComedyHour.... Then why did I have two diffrent runs rejected?

Per my earlier post, I stated I would be up to adding the time given the time adjustment. I never got a response regarding it. Generally, I’m less concerned about SGB then I am the use of a “Retro Trio Console”, since I have no information about the performance of said console. I know how an SGB runs. On boards that allow them, the time is adjusted, but I’m unaware of any board that allows third party consoles. I may be open to accepting it though with time adjusted with the understanding that the run could be removed in the future if it is determined that the console is an inaccurate emulation.

So i know i dont really have a dog in this fight... However i do know that the Retro Trio is just like have an NES, SNES, & Genesis... Its not like the Retron 5 as it Does Not Dump the Rom like a Retron Does..... However i do find it strange that Zulite had two SGB runs rejected. If you are saying a SGB is ok... I have done Research on The Retro Trio & Retron 5... The Trio should be ok, however the Retron 5 is a whole nother ball game

Sorry for the late reply. Been busy since I work tax season.

I'm just operating on the parameters I generally see for other games and how mods handle third-party console. As I said, I don't know any games that allow a third party console. I really have nothing on any particular third-party console, and how each given iteration operates in terms of accuracy, or how to account for the differences.
