Race% (no more resets!)

We have a new category called Race% (huge thank you to @Rossy__ for making the romhack!)

The category is simple, it takes out the resets and only gives you the good seed (similar to how Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has a hack that always gives you the right RNG). It makes a few minor changes in the credits screen and the health bar to make it easy to see what version is being played and the core gameplay remains the same. It can be found in the resources section.

I have a few runs I've completed on the version 1.1.0 but I see there's a 1.2.0 now. I will upload the earlier runs, but should I use 1.2.0 from now on?

Either one is fine. 1.2.0 was a fix for some flash carts moving the RNG around and not giving the right seed. As long as you’re getting the right seed, it’s all good.

Perfect! Also thanks for making this Race% and to Rossy for making the romhack. Asking this game for a roughly .5% chance to get a run was the worst part. Now the only RNG is whether Jason will try to fight you in the cabins on day 1, which is much more tolerable.

Totally didn't see this forum post. Version 1.3.0 is out that fixes an issue with some flash carts not behaving correctly leading to counselors ending up in incorrect houses. (We still don't know why this is happening, since it shouldn't be happening based on the assembly, but whatever) The new version now completely bypasses the programatic setup of Jason's and the counselors' starting locations and instead just tells the game "put Jason and the counselors here, here, and here." The end result is identical to the previous versions, so none of the current runs should be invalidated from having used an old version. All remaining assembly and logic for the game remains untouched, minus the title screens' text changes and the health bar palette swap.

I'm glad you all like the romhack and I'm glad to have provided this headache relief from constant resets. :D

Thank you so much Rossy! I did about 2 hours worth of runs with the romhack and time flies when you're not doing 80+ resets between attempts. Now we can just kick back and enjoy the game!

Again, thank you VERY much for this hard work. It'll make those moments I play any% much more likely to go well cause my routes and fighting will be well tempered. Also opens up potential for running the game in marathons.
