Confused on Categories

What is the difference between Any%NG and Any%Console? I'm utterly new to this game and waiting on it to finish downloading(played a bit of hardcore on a friends xbox ages ago) and am planning on running it after I learn the base game.

Any%NG and Any%NG+ are for the PC version. Any%Console is basically NG for the console version(s). I think it's confusing because there isn't a NG+ category set up for console runs.

Playing on console is going to be slower than playing on PC, I've never played on console before so I'm not sure what exactly makes it so, but yeah, it's so that people playing on console aren't just shut out because of PC. Not sure why there isn't NG+ for console though.

Strictly speaking, they are different games. The balance and skills are separate from the PC version altogether. There's also a console divide because PS3 does not receive updates and PS4 does.

Germany

some of the differences between pc and console are:

  • you can't open inventory, skills or map without the game pausing (there is a quick equip feature though)
  • dialogs without a text window are unskipable
  • loading times are higher (espacially at the diablo fight). I notice that even on a ps4. It might be better with a ps4 pro or xbox one x
  • you cannot ground-targret abilities making some abilities harder/impossible to use (crusader teleport skill is a good example)
  • damage balance seems to be different (you deal less dmg on console, but yellow orbs give you double damage for 20s). i haven't tested this, but it feels like it.
  • pathing is different as you don't click to walk to a destination (so the game decides which is the optimal path) but rather choose a direction to move

basicly everything else is the same (skills, items, maps...).

therefore the console runs are slower by default. but the game is way more fun on console (for me at least). the console runs aren't very optimised as I could take WR on all classes on the first try. so I can only estimate that console is 15-30 min slower (depending on class).
