As I scrolled through the various types of run the Minecraft Category Extension window provides, I thought it would be relevant to create a run where the runner needs to craft a Book & Quill (Book + Feather + Ink Sac), and sign the book to complete the run.

As it involves a bit of RNG (getting all the required mobs near the runner), and that it could also work with a lot of different sub-categories (No Structures (so the normal book must be crafted and not taken from a village), Set Seed etc.), I think it could be a quick yet challenging one, as the Obtain Cake is !

yo i alredy runned this some years ago! got idea completly stolen from a video of ElRichMc lmao i think i had 1:08 or something like that of PB with random seed and structures

i actualy remember it as a quite fun category to run with the interesting concept of the book you need the book (craft would be 3 paper + leather), the ink and the feather in an optimal run, being what i got in my run (not good spawn mine tho), you can spawn in a village beside a river where you can get the book from a shelve, get to quickly kill a squid in the river, and then also find and kill a chicken

I actually tried to run it after a speedrunning stream where I tried getting a sub 10/15 on the Full Iron + 15 levels category, and ended up with 1:48.027, and despite the shortness of the run, it is quite funny ! (And so I wrote a famous book entitled "a" with a great plot starting and ending by "a", many authors wish they had my writing skills eheh)
