Video quality doesn't exactly matter, as long as you have video evidence. At least, that's how I understand it.

when you do get a capture card, make sure you delete the files of a failed run the moment you end it because it takes up TONS of space

For me, a phone is more efficient because you can start and stop a run really easily and they don’t take up that much space.

You are allowed to use any method of recording, as long as it is a) Clear b) Entire screen is visible c) Game Audio is present.

Preferably do it in landscape if you are using a phone to record.

You Always are allowed cause then the switch lite players couldn't be on the leaderboard

I would recommend getting a tripod instead of propping a phone up on something, so there isn't a chance of it falling and possibly invalidating your run
