Majora's Mask Frame Data

Has anyone archived the frame data for every conceivable thing in Majora's Mask, like Super Smash Bros Melee? I know that there are some things that are common knowledge among the community, like ISG and Time Stop frame data, but for the past few days, I have been trying to write down the frame data for Majora's Mask; every single thing. Including stupid things that nobody cares about, like the frame data for Tatl's wings flapping, and Link's idle animations. I don't know if my data is accurate, but I plan on testing said data for accuracy later on.

Thanks. I'm not even using an emulator. I'm using a combination of the JP Wii VC, GameCube, and English N64 versions on a CRT, and I am finding it out by pause buffering the game frame by frame. In layman's terms, I'm doing it the hard way, or the way Mew2King wrote down the frame data for Super Smash bros Melee back in 2002.

I love this game; it is probably my favorite game of all time. After killing way too many MM any%, All Masks, and All Fairy Rewards runs, I wondered if any frame data was archived. I looked it up, and there were no results related to the topic. I decided that I will put in the time to get good instead of having any natural talent at first, including recording frame data.

That and it was 8 o'clock at night and I was bored.

It would be interesting if I finish the lists by the time SGDQ, Dreamhack, and other marathons like ESA 2017 roll around. If the data that I write is accurate, and/or tested for accuracy, I hope that it is used by the Majora's Mask community if I feel that it is accurate enough for public consumption.

I want to write frame data lists, but I don't want to rush it so badly it would make Sonic 06 blush with embarrassment.

I was going to comment with my experience with the N64 GS memory viewer, but after reading my comment it feels redundant. Proud of you, good luck!

As someone who has experience TASing this game, you're going to want an emulator before really considering doing this.

I can see why; the game lags in a lot of places, especially on N64 and GameCube. That would make it harder to pause buffer frame by frame. I'm sure there are other reasons, like emulators having save states to erase all mistakes, and I am sure that some emulators allow you to go through the game frame by frame. If I find it is impossible to do this by pausing, I might try out project64, or other emulators.

don't use PJ64 for something like this. Bizhawk is your best bet. Another reason it's such a gargantuan task in this game is because it's a 3D playing field while smash is 2D.
