Can someone explain how I gained so much speed in this clip?

I was up against the railing right before the GLaDOS battle, and its almost like I teleported to the end of the platform, like there was a clip on the railing. Does anyone have a scientific explanation on how this happened?

The hit boxes on that bridge are really wonky and stunt your jump height, so a single roll of your mouse wheel can turn into like 5 jumps instead of just one. It makes for ridiculously efficient ABHs. At least, that's my understanding. I do that strat in runs, I've just never seen it happen that optimally.

Basically what Fabbrizio said. you where under the clip of the railing, which blocks your jumps and makes you land faster on the ground, It results in more ABH'es and therefore speed is building up way faster.

"Does anyone have a scientific explanation on how this happened?" 'scientific explanation' 'scientific' Kreygasm The range of z position of the player is pseudo-oscillating between two values : the top part of the white fence and the floor of the catwalk. This oscillation is faster than usual (going down with gravity) because you are bumped downward by the top of the fence thus increasing the frequency of the hops. Thus, you do more ABH, so you win more speed.

Audio requirements

Starting today, runs that require video proof (top 25) and runs beyond that where video is the only form of proof, now require audio, as recording audio for only the game is now a native OBS feature.
