Hey guys, as you should hopefully know, Nuclear Throne has been officially released. What do you guys think we should do? I might be a teeny bit biased against having all of the current runs just removed, so I think we as a lovely little community should have a discussion on what exactly we should do going on from here. We have the option of just wiping the leaderboards. The only real problem with this option is what we do when the game gets updated. Do we just keep deleting the runs each time? That sorta makes speedrunning this game kinda pointless. We have the option of doing what dark souls does, which is have 2 different sections, any% speedruns and any% current patch speedruns. This sorta solves the problem that deleting all of the runs creates, but it becomes a nightmare for people who want to run the any% runs. I personally have no idea how I would manage to play a previous version of the game, so accessability for new players is nearly nonexistent for this category. Also not a huge deal, but every update we'd have to move the current patch runs to the any patch runs, which would be dumb. We could also seperate the categories by early access and full release. We could just keep all the runs after release and not care when the game gets updated. Please feel free to discuss what you think we should do. PS-Crown of Curses is the meta.

I don't think there's a huge difference between the release and the past updates that would require wiping every run. Except for Update 95. I am very, strongly for removing these runs as the lasers were unbelievably overpowered. Overpowered to the point that someone on /r/NuclearThrone made a meme video about it.

That all being said, I'm not against wiping all the runs. I won't have any problems if that's what the community decides on. My only wish is to remove any runs in Update 95 that utilized lasers to an extent.

yeah no I would honestly agree with removing/killing update 95 runs if they had lasers only. we can remove them and act like those never happened LOL

on a more serious note, im also against removing all runs but we will have to see how the game is on final release. i'm not sure as to if the game will still recieve updates after final release but if there are still updates after final release we can tackle it when it happens. i seriously doubt that anything huge will happen after the release of the game so we should be fine on that.

i also think that we should see what the community says before making a final decision.
