An Important Update To The Rules Regarding Coop Runs
2 years ago
New Zealand

Hello, we have recently decided to enforce all coop runs to have the PoVs of every runner involved. Newly submitted runs that do NOT have the PoVs of each runner WILL be rejected.

  • What does this mean?

It means that in e.g. a 3 player run, all 3 players will need to submit a video of their PoV as part of the submission. While one video can be posted in the links section in the submission, the other two can also simply be posted in the description section of the submission.

  • What does this mean for older runs?

Older runs that have already been verified will remain on the boards, as they were posted during a time when this rule was not enforced.

  • Why is this rule only being applied now?

Truth be told, a lot of the community were surprised that this wasn't already a rule in the first place. This should be the norm, as it currently is the norm for speedrunning in general. But the reason we've taken action now is that in the past few months, we've been getting a lot more questionable submissions with only one PoV, and have had cases where their coop partner was found cheating (simply by observation). So to better combat this and to make it fair for everyone it's better to enforce all PoVs be submitted in a run.

If you have any more questions or queries regarding this, don't hesitate to contact myself or any of the other moderators, by either responding to this thread or joining the Discord server.

Hi, has this rule changed? I just got a notification that my run from multiple years ago was rejected for only having one POV.
