Hi every body am pretty new to running RE 1 was hoping some one could help me in a few places. 1st is the shed where you get the crank how do you push the stairs just one push and pop through the gap at the bottom of the stairs?. So you can start pushing the stairs to the shelf faster. secondly is plant42 i have seen many runners run around to the back of the plant and are able to knife it without being hit however when i try it 95% of the time i get hit lol. If some one can help me out with this would much appreciate it thank you

Hello there and welcome to RE1 speedrunning!

The first question you have is a trick called "Quick Crank". You can squeeze Jill's hit box through the space between the steps and the small box next to it in order to push it sooner then you usually would be able to. You do this by running at where the two meet (The steps and the box) and turning Jill slightly to her right. You should pop right through. From there you push the steps up against the wall and then go as far to the left of the steps as you can, go up it, turn and grab the crank. You might need to go back down and adjust how you're going up if you're not all the way to the left. You can do this trick without pushing the steps at all before doing the clip, but it makes it a little harder to pull of. Doing one push before performing the clip makes it easier to grab the crank once you push it against the wall. You lose a slight amount of time, but if you fail doing it the more optimal way you will lose a LOT more time. I would check out a few different runs, both on PC and PlayStation, to see how others to do before deciding on how you want to approach it. For me on PlayStation I do the one push because of how movement feels on console while on PC I tend to go for no pushes first.

As for the Plant 42 fight with the knife it's an RNG fest. We run around to a certain point on Plant 42 in hopes that we'll take less hits from it, but it's still rather random as to how many times you'll get hit and if they're small slaps or full on bitch slaps across the room.

Thank you for the welcome and thanks you so much for the info. Al have to watch some runners (PC/CONSOLE) and practice the steps to get used to popping through the gap and how to climb the stairs in the correct position as it was. Plant42 is a real pain in back side with the knife lol. Tho i have managed to kill it with out being hit on 2 occasions during my practice so there is hope there. I would like to thank you again for your help.

Sega Saturn Battle Game - PAL

We have recently come across the fact that the final time on the timer during the gameplay and the final time on the results screen do not match in the PAL version, with the results screen time being lower by up to 9 seconds based on info we've gathered. Frame counting shows that the timer during ga
