Natures: Great Special (Preferred): Rash (-Special Defence), Mild (-Defence) Good Special: Quiet (-Speed), Modest (-Attack) [More Risky, Advanced only~] Good Attack: Lonely (-Defence), Naughty (-Special Defence) Good Speed: Hasty (-Defence), Naive (-Special Defence) Neutral: Hardy, Docile, Serious, Bashful, Quirky Defence Only: Lax, Gentle Bad: Everything else

Rival 1 - All tackle. Don't use tail whip or it will cost time later. - If you had 10 attack at 5: ¤ 11 Attack at 6 = 4-20 IV ¤ 12 Attack at 6 = 21-23 IV

Route 1

Get the potion from the mart guy. (First guy on route) Kill a level 2 or 3 Ratatta/Pidgey (prefer Ratatta) for experience if you encounter one. ¤ If you encounter an L3 Pidgey as your first encounter, skip it and try for another. ¤ Ratatta does less damage on average than Pidgey Get Oak's Parcel. After getting Pokedex, catch a Pidgey and a Ratatta if you encounter them.

Viridian Forest

If you haven't killed an encounter, kill a level 3 Caterpie. Get the Antidote on the ground. Low Health (5 or less): Get the hidden potion all the way to the left of Sammy. ¤ Typically happens if you got crit by one of your slaves, or if you encountered Pikachu. Bug Catcher Sammy: - Tail whip, then all tackle. - If you get poisoned, do not antidote. Potion when on your turn you have 5 HP or less. - Check your Special Attack at level 7 and 8. Reset if you don't get +2 on either if you're not doing a race. ¤ Make note of which one you did get! If you got poisoned, and you have 15 special at level 8, antidote at - 5 HP if Def > 15 - 6 HP if Def = 15 - 7 HP if Def < 15 If you used the potion in the fight, get the spare potion left of Sammy if you hadn't already.

Pewter City

Head to the gym first. Camper Liam: - Geodude: Bubble x2 or [Torrent] Bubble ¤ Torrent + 15 special kills the Geodude in one hit. - Sandshrew: Bubble x3-4 or [Torrent] Bubble x2-3 ¤ Torrent + 16 special is a damage range for two hit on Sandshrew. - 18 Special with neutral nature at level 10 is 30-31 IV. Route 3

Bug Catcher Colton: - Both Caterpies and Weedle do 3-4 per tackle/poison sting - If poisoned, potion. ¤ After fight, take poison damage down to Torrent Threshold - 4 before antidote - All: WG + Bubble OR [Torrent] WG (+ Bubble) Bug Catcher Greg: - Weedle: WG + Bubble OR [Torrent] WG ¤ If Poisoned, potion, then antidote after fight. - Caterpie: WG (+ Bubble) - Kakuna and Metapod: WG + WG OR [Torrent] WG Bug Catcher James: - Caterpie: WG (+ Bubble) - Metapod: WG + WG OR [Torrent] WG (+ Bubble) Avoid the Lass by the grass. She walks up and down only, and has a range of 4. If you do not have a fly slave, catch a Pidgey or a Spearow here. Pick up the Persim berry between the rocks on the left of the Pokemon center. - It's marked by a dark oval on the ground. (All ground berries are like that) Stop right below the gap between the center and Mt Moon. Menu: - Register the TM Case to Select button. - Equip Persim Berry - Use 1 Potion on Squirtle (to heal to around 30-40) - Repel. Enter Mt. Moon

Mt. Moon

Repel all through Mt. Moon Get the Rare Candy at the bottom right of Floor 1. Go down the set of stairs past the running Lass, get hidden Ether in the rock by the rocket. Go back up, and continue on. If you do not have a cut slave, you must catch a Paras on B1. SPINNER: Team Rocket Grunt - Ratatta: Water Gun x2 - Sandshrew: Bubble Team Rocket Grunt - Ratatta: Water Gun x2 ¤ 23 speed ties ¤ Hyper Fang does 15 (max) - Zubat: Water Gun x2 ¤ 19 speed ties ¤ Astonish can outspeed. Does 3-4 dmg. ¤ Zubat can confuse you. Super Nerd Miguel: - Grimer: Water Gun + Bubble + Water Gun ¤ Grimer can disable your Water gun, which is why we use bubble in there. ¤ Swap Bubble with Water gun here before using bubble. ¤ Pound does 4-5. ¤ Grimer can also poison you. Potion when you drop below 10 if he does. - Voltorb: Water Gun x2 ¤ Tackle does 2-3 - Koffing: Water Gun x2 or WG (+ Bubble) in torrent ¤ Tackle/Smog does 3-4 ¤ Koffing can also poison you. If you're poisoned after the fight, heal up and antidote, then put the cursor over Rare candy for later. Choose Helix Fossil. (Slightly faster)

Route 4

Teach Mega Kick over Bubble. If you still don't have a fly slave, Spearow in this grass patch is your last chance.

Cerulean City

Go up through the badge house and get the hidden Rare Candy. - Use 2 Rare Candies here to level 19. Bite over Tail Whip. Mart - Get two super potions. - If attack is 33 or less, you can skip this mart to save time, but it makes Misty riskier. Go to the gym. Gym Leader Misty: ¤ Confusion sucks. Having the Persim Berry makes a difference. Swap out of confusion if you don't have the persim. ¤ If Misty ever uses Super Potion, switch to all Bite. ¤ Potion at 14 or less health. - Staryu: Mega Kick, then Bite. ¤ Swap MK with Tackle before Bite ¤ WP Does 7-9 - Starmie: MK + Bite + Bite. ¤ WP Does 11-13 ¤ Swift does 12-15 Teach Water Pulse (WP) over Tackle. Heal up, and head for Nugget Bridge. Rival 2/Cerulean Rival: ¤ Torrent after this battle is a good thing. - Pidgeotto: WP + WP ¤ Sand-Attack is the worst attack. Swap out if you get hit with it. ¤ 27 Speed ties. - Bulbasaur: Bite + MK ¤ Vine Whip does 17-20. ¤ Sleep Powder is a thing. Leech Seed is arguably worse. ¤ You can bite twice before MK if he used leech seed and you were at close to full. Swap out otherwise. - Abra: Bite, or WP (if Torrent) ¤ Only move is Teleport. - Ratatta: WP or WG (if Torrent) ¤ Quick Attack does 5-7.

Route 24-25 (Nugget Bridge)

- Talk to each trainer, rather than walk in front of them.
- Torrent is amazing in this section, and will let WP OHKO everything it must.

Bug Catcher Cale: - Bite kills all 4 bugs. Lass Ali - Pidgey: WP - Oddish: MK Or [Bite + Bite] (To try for Torrent) - Bellsprout: Bite ¤ If not in torrent here, [Ether MK] + Bite Youngster Timmy - Sandshrew: Water Gun - Ekans: WP (+ Bite) Lass Reli: - WP (+ WP) on both Nidorans. ¤ If you don't have torrent yet, you can use bite instead to trigger poison point and manipulate torrent. ¤ Double kick does 3-4 per hit ¤ Peck does 4-5 Camper Ethan. - Mankey: [WP + Bite] or [Torrent] WP ¤ 33 Speed ties ¤ Karate Chop does 11-13 ¤ Fury Swipes does 3-4 per hit Team Rocket Grunt: - Ekans: WP (+ Bite) ¤ Bite does 4-5 ¤ Poison Sting does 3-4 - Zubat: WP Get hidden Elixir above the Hiker above the ledge. Don't fight that hiker though. Hiker Wayne: - WG Youngster Dan (Spinner): - Bite (+ Bite) ¤ Confusion does 5-7 Picnicker Kelsey - WP x2, or [Torrent] WG x2 Camper Flint ¤ If you need to Ether Mega Kick (1 or 0 MKs), and are NOT in torrent, do so first thing. - Ratatta: WP ¤ Quick attack does 5-6 - Ekans: WP Dasher Skip (Dasher) Youngster Chad: - Ekans: WP - Sandshrew: WG Lass Haley: - Oddish: MK - Oddish: MK ¤ Absorb does 6-8 - Pidgey: Bite ¤ Quick attack does 5-6 Get hidden Ether outside Bill's house. Save Bill. Get S.S. Ticket. Head back to Cerulean.

Cerulean City II

Go through Dig house. Rocket Grunt - Machop: WP (+ Bite) ¤ Karate Chop does 10-12 - Drowzee: MK ¤ Headbutt/Confusion does 5-7 Get Dig. Head south through Route 5, and through the underground.

Route 6

Get the Hidden Sitrus Berry and the Hidden Rare candy in the ledges to the north. Avoid the Bug Catcher trainer by going through the grass. Avoid the female trainer, fight the Male one. Camper Jeff: - Spearow: WG/WP - Raticate: WP if in Torrent. MK Otherwise. ¤ Hyper Fang does 12-15 ¤ Quick attack does 7-9

Vermilion City:

Mart Buy: - 6 Super Potions (8 if you skipped the Cerulean Mart) - 4 Paralyse heals, - 3 repels. Head to SS Anne.

SS Anne

Go one tile right and all the way down through the door to get a free heal. Head left around the cabins past the stairs and into the kitchen for the can berries. ¤ Get Chesto first (last can). Equip it now. ¤ Get Cheri and Pecha next. Rival 3/Vermillion Rival: - Pidgeotto: Bite + Water Pulse. ¤ Switch out if Sand-Attacked. If you have Paras, switch to Paras first. - Ivysaur: Bite + MK (+ Bite) ¤ Swap out if Leech Seeded. ¤ Vine Whip does 20-24 (Overgrow 27-32) - Raticate: MK OR WP if in Torrent - Kadabra: Bite OR WP if in Torrent ¤ 47 Speed ties ¤ Confusion does 13-16. Get HM01. Take the free heal on the way out. Teach Cut & Dig to Ratatta/Paras.

Vermilion Gym

Solve cans. Good luck. If RTA, save before checking second can. Use Bag Freeze to get around spinners. Right Spinner: Engineer Baily - Voltorb: MK OR [Bite + Bite] - Magnemite: WP Left Spinner: Sailor Dwayne - Pikachu: WP - Pikachu: WP Gentleman Tucker - Pikachu: MK or [Torrent] WP Heal before Surge. Equip Sitrus Berry. SAVE IF IN RTA. Leader Lt. Surge: ¤ This is the hardest fight in the game. - Voltorb: ¤ Use Mega Kick if your attack was 34 at level 19 (One Shot: 50%) ¤ Use Bite + WP otherwise. ¤ Sonicboom does 20 always. ¤ Shock Wave does 22-26. - Pikachu: WP - Raichu: ¤ WP + MK ¤ (+Sp Atk nature, +2 Lv 8 or better only) WP + [Torrent] WP. ¤ Shock Wave does 40-48. ¤ Surge will Full Heal if Raichu gets confused. ¤ Surge will Super if <20% Leave the gym, get Bike Voucher. Head back to Cerulean.

Cerulean City III

Get the Bike. Equip Cheri Berry, heal paralysis, if under 10 hp: potion. Register Bike and use it in the same menu. Cut through to route 9.

Route 9

Picnicker Alicia - Oddish: MK - Bellsprout: Bite (+ Bite) or [Torrent] WP - Oddish: MK - Bellsprout: Bite Spinner: Hiker Jeremy - Machop: WP (+ Bite) - Onix: WG Bug Catcher Conner - Caterpie: Bite - Weedle: Bite - Venonat: [Bite + WP] OR [Torrent] WP ¤ Confusion does 5-7 Get hidden Chesto Berry if you used it in Rival 3. Avoid the walking Hiker. Get Hidden rare candy. (Inside corner of the turn down, see album) If no Cheri Berry, cut down the bush above the camper and get the one there. Enter Rock Tunnel

Poster Grunt - Raticate: MK or [Torrent] WP - Zubat: WP or [Torrent] WG Head to BF3. DODGE THE SPINNER (Range of 2, he has 5 Pokemon) Get the hidden Nugget in the far left. (TODO: Add imgur pic) Solve spinner puzzle 1 and head to BF4 down the stairs. Grab the Max Ether on the table here. Grunt - Koffing: WP or [Torrent] WG5 - Zubat: WP or [Torrent] WG Get Lift Key. Head back up stairs. Get Rare candy as you go up. Dodge the spinner again. Solve spinner puzzle 2. Take lift to BF4. Left Grunt - Sandshrew: WG - Sandslash: WP or [Torrent] WG - Ekans: Bite x2 OR [Torrent] WP ¤ Bite does 5-7 Right Grunt - Ekans: Bite x2 OR [Torrent] WP ¤ Bite does 5-7 - Sandshrew: WG - Arbok: WP x2 ¤ Bite does 7-9 Rare Candy x3 to Level 36. Check your Speed when you hit level 36 to know how good your Speed value is. Heal to 50-60. Celadon City

Go to Mart (Enter from left). 2F Mart (Take stairs): - Top guy: Sell 2x Nugget, Buy TM 31 - Bottom guy: 8 Super Repels. 5F Mart (Take stairs): - 25 X Specials - 5 X Accuracies - 2 Guard Spec - 5 X Speeds ¤ If you had 9 speed at L5, Sell Shock Wave, buy 8 X Speed instead - 6 X Attacks Elevator to 1F and exit. Bike to Route 16. Cut through the bush and go through the gatehouse. Outside, go to the secluded house and get HM02. Exit. Open Menu: - Potion to 50-60. - Use Super Repel. - Equip Chesto. - Teach fly to Pidgey/Spearow - Fly to Lavender.

Pokémon Tower

Rival 4/Lavender Rival: - Pidgeotto: X Special + WP. - Ivysaur: ¤ If you got Sand-attacked, X Accuracy. ¤ Then Bite + Bite ¤ If you had 11 attack at 5, want to go for it, and have one: MK ¤ Razor leaf does 22-26 (Overgrow 32-38) - Gyarados: Bite + Bite ¤ Thrash does 15-18 - Growlithe: Bite - Kadabra: WP or [Torrent] WG ¤ If in torrent, swap WP with WG before using WG. On 4th floor, grab the elixir. Head up and around to floor 5.5 Spinner: Channeler Ruth - Ghastly: WG Channeler Tammy - Haunter: WP or [Torrent] WG ¤ If you didn't swap WP with WG on Kadabra, do so now. Up to 6th floor. If you used an X Accuracy, go down and get the spare. Channeler Jennifer - Ghastly: WG Channeler Emilia - Ghastly: WG Get the Rare Candy at the bottom after the last channeler. Head to the stairs. Marowak - [Bite + WP] OR [Torrent] WP ¤ Bonemerang does 13 per hit (2-3 hits) Grunt - Zubat 1: Bite (+ bite) - Zubat 2: Bite - Golbat: WP (+ Bite) ¤ Wing attack does 12-15 Grunt - Koffing: WP OR [Torrent] WG - Drowzee: ¤ [Torrent] WP ¤ Bite if no torrent and SP. Attack <= 84. ¤ MK Otherwise. Grunt - Zubat, Zubat, Ratatta: Bite ¤ Ratatta Quick attack does 5-7 - Raticate: WP or [Torrent] WG ¤ Raticate Quick Attack does 7-9 Talk to Fuji, teleport out. Talk to Fuji to get Pokeflute. Leave and fly to Celadon.

Celadon City II & Cycling Road

Enter the Pokemon Mansion and get the tea from the old lady. - The Nido and Jigglypuff like to block you. Head west to Cycling Road. There are two spinners you have to dodge. Spinner: Biker Lao - Grimer: [Bite + Bite] OR [Torrent] WP - Koffing: WP Spinner: Cue Ball Koji - Machop: WP - Mankey: WP - Machop: WP Take the right path, but stay on the left side of the road. Count the sign posts on the left. At the third post, go one tile right to get the Hidden rare candy. - Hold B to stop moving. Stay left again, and get the Hidden Max Elixir at the end of cycling road. Head into Fuschia City, and through to the Safari Zone.

Fuschia: Safari Zone and Koga

Get the Full Restore in Area 1. Get the Gold Teeth. Get HM04. Exit the house. Menu: - Teach Surf to Blastoise over Water Gun. - Fly to Fuschia. (Yes, you can do that.) Bike to the Gym. Go along the right path. Spinner: Juggler Kayden - Hypno: [Surf + Bite + Surf] OR [Torrent] [Surf + Surf] Juggler Kirk - If no torrent, use an X Special - Sweep with Surf x4 Spinner: Tamer Edgar - Arbok: [Bite + Surf] OR [Torrent] Surf - Sandslash: Surf - Arbok: [Bite + Surf] OR [Torrent] Surf Before Koga: - Equip Pecha Berry. - There are 3 strats for Koga. Each has their own setup. You can use rare candies to help manipulate your hp. A) Heal to 40-60. B) Heal to 70+ with Super Potions. C) Heal to 34-40 while staying in Torrent. Leader Koga - As stated, there are 3 strats. - Strategy A) ¤ With this, set up on Koffing. Koffing will use either sludge or smokescreen. You would prefer two sludges, or one sludge and a smokescreen. Koffing can also Self-Destruct, but this is rare. ¤ Koffing: X Special + X Special + Surf ¤ Sweep the last 3 with Surf. - Strategy B) ¤ This is "Full Health" strats. Least risk, most turns. Muk can troll with minimize, but most likely you won't die. ¤ Koffing: Surf ¤ Muk: X Special + Surf + Surf = Muk rarely uses Sludge (26-31). Acid Armor or Minimize is the usual thing. ¤ Koffing: Surf ¤ Wheezing: Bite + Surf = Wheezing does 31-37 with Sludge. - Strategy C) (Don't consider if low sp atk) ¤ This strat is the same as Full Health strat, but without the X Special. ¤ Koffing: Surf ¤ Muk: Surf + Surf = Muk rarely uses Sludge (26-31). Acid Armor or Minimize is the usual thing. ¤ Koffing: Surf ¤ Wheezing: Bite + Surf = Wheezing does 31-37 with Sludge. Bike to the Warden's house and get Strength. Exit the house, and open the menu. - Potion if < 40 unless your speed is nearly 85. - If it is nearly 85, and you didn't use your candies, use them now. - Use a Super Repel. - Fly to Pallet.

Cinnabar Island: Mansion and Blaine

Surf down from Pallet, staying on the left side as much as possible. Enter the mansion. Repel all through it. Get TM14 Blizzard Go left and obtain the Secret Key from the table. Menu: - Teach Blizzard to Blastoise over Mega Kick. - Dig out. Enter the gym. Answer all questions correctly. YES, NO, NO, NO, YES, NO Leader Blaine: - If your speed is 84 or less, use an X Speed. - If you're super far away from torrent, use an X Special. - You REALLY want to end with torrent. - Growlithe: Surf ¤ Take Down does 19-23 ¤ Fire Blast does 20-24 - Polyta: Surf - Rapidash: Surf ¤ 84 speed ties. ¤ Fire Blast does 22-27 - Arcanine: Surf ¤ 77 Speed ties. ¤ Fire Blast does 36-43 SAY NO TO BILL AFTER YOU EXIT. (SPAM B)

Celadon City III: Erika

Menu: - If you haven't used your candies yet, and you will still be in torrent if you do, use your candies here. - Heal to just above 30 if possible - Equip Cheri Berry. - Fly to Celadon. Bike to the Gym. Take the left wall path. Beauty Tamia - Bellsprout: Bite - Bellsprout: Bite Beauty Lori - Exeggute: Bite Leader Erika ¤ If you miss Blizzard, 9/10 times, Erika uses stun spore. - Victreebell: [Torrent] Surf OR Blizzard ¤ Giga Drain does 27-32 - Tangela: Bite - Vileplume: Blizzard. ¤ Giga Drain does 27-32 Exit the gym, open menu. - Heal to 90+ - Use an Elixir - Fly to Celadon (Yes, it's faster.) Bike to Saffron. Enter Silph Co.

Saffron City: Silph Co. and Sabrina

Elevator to 5F Avoid the Scientist trainer. He walks around, and has a range of 1. Go down to the teleport next to the Grunt. Get the Card Key. Spinner: Grunt - Arbok: Surf Rival 5/Saffron Rival (RTA: Save now) - Pidgeot: X Accuracy + X Special + Surf (+ Bite) - Venasaur: Blizzard ¤ Razor Leaf does 47-56 - Gyarados: Blizzard + Bite ¤ Dragon rage does 40 exactly - Growlithe: Water Pulse - Alakazam: Surf ¤ Alakazam can't damage you.
