List of Cheat Codes for practice

If you want to practice individual levels of the game, it’s recommended you use the game’s cheat code system to do so. Although they are obviously not allowed in a run of this game, these can be used to warp to other worlds or minigames to practice them before a run. You can enter these by simply going to the Options Menu from the Main Menu, and clicking on the Cheat Codes button. Here is the list of all the codes useful for practicing:

What “DSi enhanced” means

“DSi enhanced” means that the game uses the additional functionalities first introduced in the DSi to enhance parts of the game. This is not to be confused with DSiWare games, which are games that can *only* be played on DSi (and 3DS) hardware exclusively. These new features include an additional minigame called “Part Delivery” that uses the camera to control the direction of a ball, and the extra processing power being used to speed up certain parts of the game. If you are playing the original cartridge on a DSi or any of the 3DS family of systems, then you have this feature enabled.

It should be pretty apparent that having the DSi enhanced version of the game is the fastest version to run on. So if you’re running the game on a DS emulator, you will most likely be at a disadvantage since there are currently no DS emulators out there that support these DSi enhancements. The Twilight Menu mod for 3DS would actually be faster than both an original cartridge and an emulator because of there being no lag, but because of those very reasons it has been banned from speedruns of the game.

The new minigame that comes with this DSi enhancement can also be very inconsistent and annoying to control, so if you ever get this during a run, it’s recommended you exit out of it and go back to get a different minigame. However, if you’re using the current route of the game, you shouldn’t get this minigame at all since it only appears in World 4 which requires no repairs.

World 1 Agent P Minigame: Doof AI Explanation

Here’s how the game manages the AI in the Doofenshmirtz boss battle at the end of World 1. This guide should not be used as a strategy guide for the boss, but should instead help you get a better understanding of how the AI here works.

During the fight, the game will pick a random number from 0 to 99 inclusive. However, this random number that generates is already predetermined when you start this Perry section, and doesn’t depend on when or how you enter the boss fight.

**When you are standing next to Doofenshmirtz:**
• If the aforementioned random number is less than 25: Doofenshmirtz will maniacally laugh and throw his gnomes at you.
• Otherwise, if the last digit is less than 4: Doofenshmirtz will throw his gnomes at you without laughing first.
• If it is any other number: Doofenshmirtz will attack you with his bratwurst.

**When you are not standing next to Doofenshmirtz:**
• If the aforementioned random number is less than 25: Doofenshmirtz will maniacally laugh, run in the opposite direction as you for a bit, and throw his gnomes at you.
• Otherwise, if the last digit is less than 4: Doofenshmirtz will run away from you and throw his gnomes without laughing first.
• If it is any other number: Doofenshmirtz will walk forward for a few seconds attack you with his bratwurst if near. If he doesn’t reach you, he may repeat this again depending on what new number is chosen.

**Percentages for when you are standing next to Doofenshmirtz**
25%: Doof laughs and throws gnome(s).
28%: Doof will throw gnome(s) without laughing first.
47%: Doof will attack with bratwurst.

**Percentages for when you are not standing next to Doofenshmirtz**
25%: Doof laughs, runs away and throws gnome(s).
28%: Doof will run away and throw gnome(s) without laughing first.
47%: Doof will walk forward and attack with bratwurst if near.
