If you are a returning runner, then use your search tool to find the "{" in the guide. These are optimizations.
Full Route execution video (some stuff is outdated in the video, I highly recommend reading the text guide throughly):
Saving is advised if you are uncomfortable with a given area.
When you mash text, you can use Z, X, C, V, B, and N. These will all advance the text (Everything other than Z is a "cancel" button.) Mashing with enter doesn't work well for me, so I recommend not doing it! I use one finger on z and two on x and c. (Left hand Z right hand X and C)
[Intro]
Give yourself a 1 character name. This will save time over the course of the run, as the game wont have to write as much text on the screen. Timer starts when you press "YES" to confirm your name.
[Zone 0] Video:
Head straight up after the intro and talk to the Judge, go up the ladder after the inital conversation and continue talking to him. When he asks you if you want a combat tutorial, press X to confirm "No" and then Enter or Z to confirm "Yes". Continue up the ladder and go into the staircase.
Puzzle 1: Activate the top left, bottom left, top right, and bottom right blocks in that order, then proceed down the stairs.
Puzzle 2: Visualize this puzzle as a numberpad. The top left starts at 1 and the bottom right is 8, counting up by rows then looping around. The code is posted on the wall: 126823.
Puzzle 3: Visualize the blocks at a numpad. The bottom block is 0. The solution to this puzzle is 4482870. When the door is clear, go up.
Mash through the text, activate the red block, and confirm "Return to the nothingness" and confirm "yes". Then, go down to the green flower directly beneath your current position and press Entre/Z to go into Zone 1.
[Zone 1]
Go to the right and up and enter the train to Damien. Once in Damien, go down. {Optimal}: Turn right as soon as you can. It saves a slight amount of time, as after the cutscene you will be one tile down.
Go down to the staircase to the Annex Mine. Run right and mash through the conversation, obtaining Alpha from the bottom. Go back up the stairs and speak with the Elsen you spoke to before, then go to the right staircase. {Once you go down this set of stairs, unequip the batter and alpha's inital weapons. This will save 3.67 Seconds because the unequipped attack animation is faster. After this, click on waiting to make it say Active. This saves time mostly in boss fights, around 20s assuming you don't save and quit; in which case, you have to go back into the menu to set it up again.}
Keep going right, then up. Your will enter a battle with 8 ghosts. Use auto-fight, as it will be faster than mashing and you don't have any moves to use yet. After the battle, activate the yellow block and press x to cancel saving your game, then go right. {Optimal}: Missing once isn't that much of an issue, but missing twice loses around ten seconds. {Optimal but risky}: If the Batter and Alpha both have over 70 HP, then skip activating the yellow block.
Your path through the next room should be as follows: Turn right at the first fork, then go up. Get the chest and then head down until you can continue right. If you get into a battle, then use auto-fight. You want to get two battles to get Alpha to level two. The following patterns are what you could get, there are three types of battles with 1, 2, and 3 enemies respectively. (X means its bad, and you will need a third fight, which loses a lot of time.)

- 3, 3 Keep track of the amount of EXP you get from RANDOM ENCOUNTERS (Not forced ones), this will be important later.
Head up the ladder and mash through the conversation. To continue to the next room you have to be on the marked path. In the next room head up two spaces and then hold right. When you get to the yellow box, activate it and then press X, and go into the cow shed at the top.
There are 5 spectres you have to fight here. Do not attack with the batter (it will spawn an extra enemy), use only Alpha's Saturated String. To make this fast, press down when Alpha's bar fills up and then press Z, go down to the competence menu and use Saturated String. It will take two for each ghost.
After defeating 4 of the 5 spectres, go down the staircase. Push the middle most rock to the right, then go up, and then right twice. You can now reach the final spectre. After defeating it, go to the brown tile and interact on top of it.
Exit the barn, mash throught the text, then activate the yellow block and press x to cancel saving. Then, speak with the elsen and go back into the mines.
In the mines, if you have less than 2 (or 3 if you want to be safe during Alma) Silver Fleshes, then go up and get the chest.
Dark maze: At the second left, go up, then left when you can and down. Flip the switch, go up and then hold right.
If you get into a battle, then attack with the batter and use Saturated String with Alpha. (Do this on different enemies if there are multiple). The goal is getting a total 1363 EXP from the least amount of random encounters as possible (trying for 4 or 5). There are water enemies later in this zone that hinge on this, and also count towards the 4 or 5 counter. Here are what you will need getting to this later area enemies according to what EXP you have. 470 - 610 EXP - 2x 3 Water Enemies < {Optimal if you get no encounters up to this point.) 620 - 760 EXP - 1x 3 Water Enemies, 1 x 2 Water Enemies 770 - 910 EXP - 2x 2 Water Enemies 920 - 1060 EXP - 1 x 3 Water Enemies < {Optimal if you get encounters. Make sure not to fight unnessisary battles. This takes a lot of math!) 1070 - 1360 EXP - 1 x 2 Water Enemies 1363+ EXP - No Water Enemies needed
{ The above is the safe strat for getting runs past Dedan. You could also skip fighting any random encounters and fight Dedan at a lower level, but you will often times not be able to defeat him. ALSO ALSO you still want to fight two random enemies in the mines after the 8 ghosts you gotta get the competence on Alpha VERY IMPORTANT!!! You can technically go with only a triple, hope for many crits on the first ghost, then fight the random encounter in the dark mines but that's VERY UNLIKELY to be fast
Ignore the yellow block and continue up, mashing through text. The code for the elevator is 10258.
If you get into a random encounter, flee if you feel you have enough EXP at this point.
If you get into a battle outside of the scripted ones, flee.
Go down, right, and up. For this fight, attack with The Batter, and go to Competence to use Saturated String with Alpha. Attack if not over. Once the fight is over, go down the staircase.
Go down, left, and up into the middle column. Enter the staircase.
Go down, left, and up into the staircase.
Go down, right, and up to talk to the Elsen behind the counter. Confirm "I must pass". The code is 681452.
For this fight, attack with The Batter and go to Competence for Saturated String with Alpha. Attack if the Elsen is still alive. Go up and through the doors.
Use the yellow block to healk and don't save. Go downwards, mash through the text, then go back up and descend to the ground floor, then exit the building. {Optimal, but risky}: If Alpha and the Batter have agreeable amounts of HP, and Alpha's CP isn't below 30, then you can skip the block and hope that Alpha's CP doesnt get drained by later enemies.
Head to the train. Do this to get through fast. {Optimal}: Tap the up key on your keyboard, press Z, then once new options appear, press down and then Z. This will take you to the next area.
There is a quiz in the next room. The answers are:
- The third from Orta (2nd choice)
- Roses (1st choice)
- Six (2nd choice)
- 22 (3rd choice)
- Jonas (2nd choice)
- 87 {Optimal}: To get through this quickly, press X on the first question, Z on the second, X again on the third, press up and then Z on the fourth question, and then X again on the fifth.
In the fights with one Elsen and 2 Tiburces (cat things), use Saturated String on the Tiburces and attack the elsen with the batter. If you miss with the batter once, then use Saturated String to finish it off after the Tiburces. {Note}: If you have Run with Courage, then kill the 2 Tiburces first. Then, attack with the batter and Saturated String with Alpha (or the opposite if you want to conserve Alpha's CP.)
In the fights with two elsen and 1 tiburce, kill the tiburce as fast as possible, and attack. On the next turn, if the batter doesn't have RwC, then attack the other Elsen and use Saturated String on the one you attacked initially.
After the first two battles, go to the yellow box and heal. Then, go to the left path and fight the Elsen. After this battle, activate the pedalo and ride it.
If you dont get a water enemy encounter here, dont worry about it. If you do and you already have enough EXP, then run.
In the room after the water tunnel, exit the pedalo right. Fight the Elsen in this room and activate the Pedalo. This is another numpad puzzle, the solution is: 49826590 Video:
After the puzzle, take the left or right path, fight the elsen, go down the tunnel, then go left and enter the doors. {Note}: It is actually possible to beat Dedan if Alpha is Level 3. So if you want to be risky in the event you dont get the EXP you need / agreeable encounters, then go forward. { Or if you are doing no grinding after the mines, which is around a minute faster.
The solution to the maze here is: left, up, right, right, down, left, up, up. Run if you get an encounter.
Heal at the red block and exit, then go up until you enter the room with dedan. {Note}: Get the chest with the joker if Alpha level 3, or if you wish to be safe.
Dedan HP: 4000. Constantly use Run with Courage and Saturated String. If either of their HP's go below 105, use a luck ticket ( with priority towards the Batter doing the healing, because Alpha will do more damage). If a bubble appears, attack it with Alpha (I normally dont, because it seems like they do nothing). If either one of your team members run out of CP, use a silve flesh. {Note}: You have two belali's meats. I personally use only one in this fight if Dedan puts Alpha or The Batter to sleep before I've used my Silver Fleshes.
After the fight, mash text. Once it asks you to save press X. When you return to the nothingness, go to the top right flower to enter Zone 2.
[Zone 2]
Go up until you see "library". From there, go left and then down. Talk to the nearest Elsen. Talk with him again, and take the page for 100 Credits. Go right and into the library.
Head down, and then talk to the Elsen at the desk after the other one leaves. Mash through the conversation. After it, head up the stairs on the left.
Continue to the next set of stairs, stick to the right most side. There is a puzzle with pages in this room. Do it as in the video {Optimal- Pressing X here will place the page without the need to scroll to it.} If you get into an encounter, run. Video:
After you have inserted the pages, go back to the Elsen and talk to him, then head back upsairs. Head past the puzzle room and up the flight of stairs, ignoring the yellow block. Enter the fight
In this fight you want to spam RwC. On the first turn, or however many turns it takes, use Expected Bracket/Awaited Embrance with Alpha. This will poison Valerie. After Valerie is poisoned, spam Saturated String too. {This saves 16 seconds.}
After the fight, obtain Omega, and head out to the first floor from the right stairway.
Once on the first floor, head up through the right door, continue up, then go through the door, and then go down. Enter the shop.
In the shop talk to Zacharie, buy 1 - 2 Fortune Tickets and 3 Jokers (or 2 if you have one from Dedan). Heal at the yellow save block if Alpha or The Batter are on yellow HP. {Optimal}: You can survive even with yellow health, but its just safer to heal.
Go right into the doorway. Go right and down the stairs. Go down, left, down, left, up, right into the doorway. Go left down the stairs. Go down, right, up, right (ignore the doorway), down, right, up, left, up, right, up, and left into the doorway.
Mash through text, go to the staircase on the left. Go to the human shape in the wall and activate the pedalo. Go down and left to exit the building.
Go down, up, down, and left. Hop on the pedalo, get off, and go down the staircase. Go up, and then enter the park. There's a fortune ticket in that balloon. Get it
Go up into the balloon game. Win and use RwC, Saturated String, and Optimised Blur. {Note: To win the balloon game everytime, do the opposite of what he does.} Elsen Pops 1 -> Pop 3 Elsen Pops 2 - > Pop 2 Elsen Pops 3 - > Pop 1 {Note 2: You can skip "looking" at how many were popped if you listen to the pop audio.}
Go down and leave the amusement park. Down and go up the staircase. Ride the pedalo across. Go right, up, down until you reach the red box. Return to the nothingness. Return to Purified Zone 1.
Go up, right and continue right until you reach DAMIEN. Go down and right into the staircase. Ignore the yellow block.
Go right, down, at the fork go right, at the fork go down, at the four way intersection go right. Go up the ladder.
In this room, you must push rocks out of your way. Be careful here, because you can block yourself from entering the door if you do it wrong.
- Go up to the fence, then go right and push the rock, then go up.
- After pushing the top rock, go left when you can, then up to the fence blocked by another rock.
- Push the first rock left twice, the one above you up once, then the one to the left of you left, and enter the door. After leaving the next room, continue up, then push the right rock, go up, push the left rock, go up, push the right rock once, go up, and go right. Once the last rock is out of your way continue up. Video:
go right. Continue right until you see "ALMA", where you'll go up into the doorway.
Continue going up,. Before the doorway, go right and activate the pedalo. Go left and hop on the pedalo. Continue left, and then go up the meat fountain.
Once up the fountain, go right. Go to the isolated island and grab the four abaddon's meat in the chest. Then enter the door way at the top and open the two chests.
If going for a slower time: Save just in case. {Optimal}: Skip saving on the red block and exit to the nothingness immediately.
Go up to Zone 0. Continue up until you go down stairs, then go to the door and fight sugar. In this fight;
- Attempt to poison sugar with Expected Bracket/Awaited Embrace. If she isn't poisoned on the second try, reset and load your save (if you did)
- If yellow HP, then heal with Fortune Ticket (Unless palsied.)
- If Palsied, heal with bealil's meat. (Unless yellow HP)
- If dead, use a joker. Once Sugar takes damage that is not "601" from the poison, use a competence on her. Then, use competences on all her dummies. (Make sure everyone is alive so they get EXP)
After the fight, leave to the outside then go to the right door. Talk to Zacharie. Sell Monday and anything else, get to at least 10000 Credits. Buy 10 Expirations. {8 are for Enoch, 2 are for one fight before Enoch}
Leave through the top door, go to the nothingness, and enter Zone 2 again.
Go up until you see "library", then go to the path to the right that goes up, then do down. Equip the necktie and enter the Residential Area.
In these battles, use Run with Grace and Converted String to defeat them.
Mash text. Go up to meet the first spectre.
After this fight, go right and follow the path. On your way right, go into the doorway. Go through the room to the outside. Climb the ladder to fight the other spectre.
Go down the ladder and back into the doorway, through the room, back out again. Continue right to fight the other spectre.
Go left and up the stairs, going all the way up and to the left to fight the other spectre.
Go left and up to fight the spectre. After that, go to the spectre that's right below you and fight it.
Go left and up the staircase. Left, up the staircase, right to fight the spectre.
Finally, go back down the two staircases, keep going down, then left to fight the last spectre.
Mash the text. Collect The Judge and go left. Go up into the library. Go down, and then go up the staircase and all the way up to the yellow box, heal here to gain back CP. Go up into the room, up the staircase, and then go left. Go right into the doorway.
Go left and up at the fork, then left into the doorway. Go up the two sets of stairs, then go left. Enter the doorway.
This puzzle is another numpad, the solution to this puzzle is 49971640. Video:
Continue up the staircase, and go up the ladder to fight Japhe.
Japhet HP: 6000. { In the first phase of this fight, spam attacks with ONLY the batter 5 times. Defend with everyone else. Then, use run with grace on the 6th turn. } In the second phase of this fight, spam Run with Grace, Converted String, and Photographic Blur. You should not need to heal in this fight, as it is unlikely. In the even you do... good luck.
Mash through text (don't save). Go to the third green flower on the bottom right and enter Zone 3.
[Zone 3]
Follow the path up. Go into the factory, and go left to A1. Go up and left.
Their is a specific path you must take here. Here is a video showing it.
Encounter the spectres. Do this battle in a specific way, as long as you dont get muted.
- Use RwG on the first spectre.
- Select Converted String with Alpha and click down twice. This will most likely kill the crown.
- Select Photographic Blur with Omega, and click up one.
- On the second turn, use RwG to finish off the first Spectre.
- Use Converted String on the left ghost, and if you roll a high damage it will go down in one hit.
- Use Photographic Blur on the big ghost again.
- If the battle isnt over, use RwG on the last ghost.
After the battle, head back into the cafeteria, and to talk to Zachrie. Then, leave to Area 2. Video: {Ignore getting Epsilon here}
Go left and up the staircase. Mash through the text. Go into the farthest building on the left. If you get into an encounter, flee.
Go right where the switches are. Turn all three switches OFF. Go to the left where the singular switch is, and turn it OFF. Go back to the three switches, and turn the switch right under the black C ON. Go up into the room on the right.
Go up right to the switch and turn it OFF. Go down and left slightly to the switch on the wall and turn it OFF. Go to the switch on the far left next to the door and turn it OFF. Go back to the switch on the far right and turn it ON. Finally, go back to the middle switch on the bottom and turn it ON. Enter the door on the top left. The code to enter the room is von gacy, and you dont need a space. Video:
Do this fight as follows:
- Middle enemy with Batter
- Left enemy with Alpha
- Right enemy with Omega Turn 2
- Left enemy with Batter
- Middle enemy with Alpha (might be dead)
- Right enemy with Omega (should be dead) Turn 3
- Kill the rest
Mash through text. Leave the sugar room. Once you're outside, go to your left and turn the switch ON. This enables you to leave. Go back to the monorail and go to Area 3.
Leave the monorail. Go up the stairs to the outside. Go right, up the stairs and up the ladder. Jump down the shoot, and play the mini-game-grab 10 Add-ons before the timer runs out, avoid the spectres. {Note}: This game is completely RNG. Getting really bad RNG here is the equivalent of a really good second try sugar compared to a really good first try sugar.
Once over, leave the orange room and talk to the Elsen. Once done, go back up and leave through the black hole in the wall.
Go to the right side of the monorail. Mash through the text, and get back on the right side to go to Area 4.
When the monorail stops, go outside and talk to the Elsen. Enter fight. On the first turn, use two expirations with The Batter and Omega. Then, spam your best competences for the rest of the fight. {This is 1.2 to 7.2 seconds faster}
Enter the monorail and TALK TO ZACHARIE FROM THE FRONT. If you talk to him on the side you will become slow for the rest of the game.
In area 4, heal yourself on the yellow block and go right, then up and enter the door. Interact with the console on the desk. The password is: down arrow, left arrow, up arrow, right arrow, up button, left button, right button, down button, right button, start. Video:
Exit the room, go to the left, and go down the stairs. Walk all the way right through the hallway.
There is another numpad puzzle. Only this time, it is upside down. The solution is on the wall. Video:
In the next room, traverse the maze-like area until you reach Enoch. Keep attempting to run from him until you do.
Once you exit into the mazes again, run from Enoch and dont get caught by him. {Note}: In the previous guide, it is said that running into Enoch purposefully and then running away saved time. This actually is true, but only if you escape him first try. Even then, it's only ~2 seconds saved for each room you do it in. If you miss running, you lose 7 second each time. Therefore, don't do it! It isn't worth it!
Go down, and then down-left to exit the puzzle room. Go left across the hallway and up the stairs. Go left, and then left across the monochrome hallway, ignoring the doors, and going down at the end of it. Go right, again ignoring all the doors, until you're back in the green room.
Go up the staircase and enter the fight.
Enoch HP: 7000.
For this fight, do the following. The Batter: Run with Courage (Does more than RwG to Enoch) Alpha: Converted String Omega: Photographic Blur Epsilon: Spam Expirations.
OR
The Batter use expirations and Epsilon use abstract tragedy until 3 expirations left. On that turn, batter and espilon both use, then batter switch to run with courage and Epsilon use last expiration
{Optimal}: When you have 2 expirations left, have The Batter and Epsilion both use them on one turn. This is ~8 Seconds faster if you get high damage, and potentially even more if you get very high rolls. (Assuming all party members are alive at this point)
If Epsilon dies, have the Batter use Expirations until he can be brought back to life.
Once over, mash through text. You'll be Returned to the nothingness. Go over to the solitary red dot on the bottom right, and go to The Room.
[The Room]
Immediately go up and across the long hallway. In the next room, go left and in the doorway. Go in the room and interact with the posters, then leave again, and immediately go back in. Interact with the grey note on the wall. After that, leave the room, and you'll be back where you started. Go up and across the long hallway. Enter the fight with the Bears.
Bear fight: Use Abstract Tragedy twice.
After the fight is over, go up into the room with chairs. Go left and into the doorway. Go up into the next room, and then back down again. You'll be back where you started.
Go up and through the hallway. In the storage like room, go left and back into the doorway. Go up into the next doorway, and follow the path to the next one.
For these drawings, there's a red dot on them. Make sure to interact with that dot to go to the area.
On the child's drawing, go to the left, tall house and enter it. Go into the barn-like house and talk to Dedan. After the conversation is over, leave the barn and walk down.
Next, go to the small house in the center and enter back into The Room. Walk down the path and interact with the three small notes on the wall. Take the calendar sheet, then go back up into the long pathway. Go through the doorway, back onto the child's drawing. Go back to the barn where Dedan was on the left. Interact with him again. Leave the barn, and go back to the child's drawing.
Move towards the scribbled mess on the right side and enter it. Talk to Enoch. Once it's over, leave again. This time, go to the big red dot below the birds on the top of the child's drawing. Once in there, go up and talk to the bird. Say "Okay".
Once the birds have helped Enoch, go down back to the child's page. Return to Dedan and then talk to Enoch in the barn. After the conversation is over, leave the area and back on the child's drawing. Go to the sun on the top right. Mash through the conversation, and you'll be back from where you started. Go up again.
The game will ask you to continue and pick a save file. Pick the first one. Go up the hallway, and go left in the room. Ignore the white doorway, and go down into the next room. Interact with the Elsen on the wall.
Enter 8946. Next, enter 5865. Afterwards, go back left through the doorway. Go right and down through the doorway to the long hallway. Go down and then back up again, continuing the game and picking the third save file. Go up. {Note}: When entering codes, you can press down which will take you from 0 to 9. Use this if the number you are entering is more than 5. You can also do this when going down to the third save file.
Go up through the hallway and then up through the room to the doorway. Go up the hallway into the doorway, entering a puzzle room. Numpad code: 3755.
Leave the room and go down the hallway. You'll be back where you started. Go up.
Up the hallway, go left in the room, and in the white doorway. Read the comic. You'll be put into the comic. Keep going right, avoiding the batters. If you happen to get into a battle, just attack normally. Get to the mass of batters. Enter the fight.
For this fight, go to Competence and use Boxx Bomb. Finish the comic, and leave the room.
Talk to Zacharie. Sell the dates of the week you collected and buy Expirations, then enter the Queen fight.
The Queen HP: 4000.
For this fight, have everyone use expirations on the left most add-on {get there with clicking down} except Alpha. Have Alpha use Expected Bracket on the queen. {Get there by clicking up.} One the queen is poisoned and the left most add on is dead, spam expirations until the fight is over. Video:
You'll be thrown back to the beginning, except everything is red. Go up, up the hallway, left to the doorway. Fight the child. Spam Expiration until dead, if you are lucky you will one in one cycle.
Go up the hallway. Speak with The Judge, and choose The Special Ending on the right. Enter the fight.
The Batter: HP: 2500
For this fight, go to Competence and choose Aneurysm Rupture. Spam until The Batter is dead. Timer ends when "Adversaries purified" appears on the screen.
