Hi all, I just wanted to let it be known that it is possible to purchase run changing items outside of playing the actual story-mode. These items you can purchase are solely purchasable outside of the story in the Free Battle Shop, however they carry on into story playthroughs. For the sake of creativity and fairness when routing and playing the actual story-mode, I think these items purchased through the Free Battle Menu should be banned. I think it's only fair that items obtained through the speedrun itself should be usable. As far as I know, nobody has attempted to use these items, but I saw an opportunity and think it would be unhealthy for the run... otherwise everyone could just use the highest DPS bentos for every fight starting with Yamato by purchasing them in Free Battle beforehand. Anyone's thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks. I've left photo examples to further elaborate what I'm talking about. 
Not yet, I'm just letting it out there because the current records would easily be shattered if people started to incorporate this into runs. It would also be unhealthy because the barrier to entry would require people to beat the game, get max ryo, and then unlock the best Free Battle Shop items. If this were allowed, I'd recommend that it become its own category because it makes the game way easier with no actual skill increase.
Also if you have a discord, it would be a lot easier to join our Anime Server that we have since sometimes threads don't help with notifications. But yea, ive tagged one of the mods on the discord to the discussion.
I agree with xddbzfan869, you should join the discord. A lot of the runners of this game/category are probably not looking at forums, so you'll have a better idea of what people have in mind by discussing it in there instead.
