Jump Glitch
Updated 5 years ago by TheTobiGuy

I have yet to come up with a better name for the glitch, maybe the Tobi glitch lol but that sounds kinda dumb. Any way if you watch any of my runs you may notice sometimes i clear walls im not supposed too by jumping, getting hit then essentially getting over said wall. It appears that the attack propels me over the walls but this actually not the case. For some reason when you get hit in the air Immediately after the strike, there's a couple frames where the game thinks your grounded. Because any grounded input will activate in this small window. If you use magic or a bomb you just activate them while falling, nothing useful about that at all as far as I can tell. However jumping out of that is like having a double jump which totally breaks this game where most of the borders are just slightly taller than your max jump height. . So this may seem daunting if your trying to pull this glitch off at first especially if your just learning it and you observe how many times throughout the game you need to pull this off for good time saves. But its not as bad as you may think. Its quite difficult to do with regular ninjas but some other enemy's have attacks that are easier to time it too. Regular ninjas are really inconsistent with the way they attack bringing in a strong RNG and skill factor to pulling it off. Luckily there's only one time in the game you NEED to use a regular ninja. So anyway what you want to do firstly is to find a corner that connects to the wall your trying to get over. Turn away from the corner and towards your selected enemy for the glitch and block. There gonna start to throw out a series of attacks at a regular interval which makes timing this nice as long as you read the right attack. Time a jump to get hit by that attack close to your maximum jump height. Then when you get hit, time the input just right to get the double jump. I like to use a trick i call the triple spam, which is just timing the general window of the glitch and pressing jump 3 times rapidly. When i started using triple spam this glitch started to get more and more consistent. It takes alot of practice getting used to pulling this off on different attacks but it is very worth it in the long run. To get a good idea of the window. I suggest checking out my "Cloud 1" run about 15 seconds into the video. Slow it down to .25 speed and youll get a good idea of the timing window :)
