[section=Intro] Welcome to the 100% Completion Guide for Nefarious! In this guide, I will be cataloging the following information:

  • Upgrades (and their costs)
  • Maximum Gold per Level (for routing of upgrade purchases)
  • Locations of Crowns and Vinyls per Level (with descriptions and maybe someday screenshots)
  • S-Rank Times (for ILs and curious people)

As a reminder, the rules for a 100% complete run in Nefarious are as follows:

  • Must purchase all upgrades (after time stop and final cutscene, go back into your save and show the upgrade screen)
  • Must collect all crowns (after time stop and final cutscene, go back into your save and float past levels to show crowns)
  • Must collect all vinyls (after time stop and final cutscene, go back into your save and show off full jukebox)

[section=Upgrades]

  • Grenade Upgrades:
    • Grenades: The holy hand grenades. The cost will be free, not two or four.

    • Explosive Punch: The Ullapool Caber, for villains. 1200 Lucre.
    • Rocket Punch: Way cooler than Mr. Fantastic. 1500 Lucre.
    • Multi Punch: Three is always the magic number, even for violence. 2000 Lucre.

    • 22,200 Lucre.

[section=Macro City]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]1555[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]3[/big] chests. These chests are in the following locations:
    • On a ledge early in the level, before the first crown, accessible by grenade jump bubble.
    • Atop the building full of Taddlebots, accessible by grenade jump bubbles.
    • All the way to the left after the MCPD Van fight. Guarded by a cowardly Taddlebot.

  • [big]The first crown[/big] rests on a floating platform on the path full of cops. Can't miss it, visually speaking. Worth noting is that you do not need to use the cop car to the right to reach this crown, but can grab it from underneath with a well aimed jump as long as you don't hit the fire.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] for this stage lies in the electrified hallway, which (if you don't know offhand) is underneath the small building full of Taddlebots right after the garage with the bad skylight. To get this vinyl normally, you must ride the Taddlebot on the ground all the way over to the vinyl. Investigation is ongoing as to whether it's possible to save time here via damage boost from the cop.
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is inside the elevator where Mack talks to you, right after collecting the grenades. Just hug the right wall and you can't miss it (literally, I checked).
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is right above the sign for The Swell Hotel. Simply jump to get it, and you're clear for the stage!

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]04:00[/big] minutes.

[section=Insektia]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]3905[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]4[/big] chests. These chests are in the following locations:
    • On a platform right before the third checkpoint. Accessible via grenade jump bubble.
    • Inside the wall right before the third checkpoint. Accessible via breakable wall.
    • Immediately following the tram ride, the wall above the cave is breakable with grenades.
    • In the vertical cave after the tram. After the point of no return (the metal ledge you jump up through), it lies behind the rock to the left.
    • (Also, don't forget the money cache behind Apoidea's throne. Easy to access and easy to miss, behind a breakable wall.)

  • [big]The first crown[/big] is right after entering the palace, before the arrow made of coins. Jump up to the platforms via grenade jump bubbles. It may also be possible to grenade jump to the crown without needing to use the bubble, saving time and avoiding minor backtracking.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] is in the vertical platforming room right after the third checkpoint. Stick to the left wall as much as possible, grenade jump bubbling up, and you will eventually come to some floating platforms over boiling honey. The vinyl is at the other end of this stretch. Don't fall.
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is at the end of the post-tram vertical cave. Right before the triple wall of purple blocks, it requires a grenade jump to reach. Or a foothold broken out of the purple wall.
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is in the first shaft of fans, just after meeting up with the minions. It rests on a purple block to the right, requiring you to drop off the fans before the third diagonally-pushing one.

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]08:30[/big] minutes.

[section=Sukochi]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]6640[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]7[/big] chests. These chests are in the following locations:
    • Directly underneath the first crown. Good luck with that grenade jump, dear reader.
    • After the green room of the Gauntlet of Man. Grenade jump over the purple blocks to the left, or simply break them, and you can fall from there to a ledge with a chest.
    • Halfway through the hall of masks. You will likely take some damage here, so be ready.
    • After the elevator of spikes, on the far left. If you're fast, you can make it before the elevator drops too far and not have to use grenade jumps to get to the other side.
    • Right after picking up Malachite, up the vertical shaft instead of over the first lava pit.
    • On the lower path after picking up Malachite, going over the small pit, and ascending a vertical shaft. Malachite will comment on it, the rascal.
    • In the top right of the first lava/spikeball room. Go pretty much diagonally from the entrance and you'll reach it.

  • [big]The first crown[/big] is right at the start, over a huge pit of lava. You have to grenade jump to reach it normally (and quickly). If you don't believe you can, and are willing to lose time, there is another way. At time of writing, the ramp above the crown is misaligned with the upper platform, and if you come to the apex of the ramp at the right (slow) speed, you can begin walking on the underside and fall through without touching the upper platform.
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is at the end of the hall of masks. Use the grenade jump bubbles to pass between the spikes and reach it. Careful not to hit the spikes and get bounced backwards.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] is on an upper path, after you clear a couple spike rooms. There is a checkpoint right before the split, and the path is filled with spikes. It's honestly easier to just eat damage here, but you can also stick close to the ceiling to avoid the spikes.
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is in the final room of spikes, which is also filled with cannons. It floats above the last cannon.

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]08:00[/big] minutes.

[section=Winterdown]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]1680[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]1[/big] chest. This chest is in the following location:
    • Directly to the left after the start. If you're not careful, some of the money can fall behind the nearby wall.

  • [big]The first crown[/big] is above the shield dwarf which blocks your path shortly after the second checkpoint. Simply bounce off the dwarf or grenade jump to reach it.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] is in the room directly after checkpoint four. To reach it, you must complete a series of grenade bubble jumps. Eventually you can grab it from the top of the room. Remember to sing along to the National Anthem after grabbing it!
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is right after Ariella hitches a ride on your head. As long as you're not too surprised by her, all you have to do is jump up and grab it before bursting through the wall.
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is in a pretty obvious spot about halfway through the Ariella segment. To access it, you have to run past it, and jump when you're about to pass through the tunnel just ahead, bouncing off the wall and turning around to run up the hill and grab the crown.

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]06:30[/big] minutes.

[section=Heartless Abyss]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]2030[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]0[/big] chests.

  • [big]The first crown[/big] is behind the head of the first giant eel. Wait right above it until the eel retracts, and then drop as fast as you can, and you should be able to avoid damage. It's not crucial though, this level gives you more than enough health.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] is shortly after the uncomfortably pink drop, just swimming against the eel current. A line of coins points you to the top of the room, and if you hug the ceiling (from a healthy distance), you'll be led into an alcove which contains the disc.
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is right above the first chunk of ship you come across. It'll have an anchor on it, and slightly up the hill will be two pedestals with flags. Follow the lines of coins going up from this point, and you'll be led right to the crown.
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is inside the ship at the end of the level. Be careful not to mash too fast through text and forget to pick it up!

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]08:00[/big] minutes.

[section=Adept Co.]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]5855[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]7[/big] chests. These chests are in the following locations:
    • When you come to the first moving laser, it is up in an alcove above your position. Requires a grenade jump to reach.
    • At the top of the grenade jump bubble segment suspended over an acid pit. Be really careful coming back down from getting this one.
    • At the very top of the planetarium, easily accessed by jumping from the top of the purple planet. Again, careful coming back down. Wouldn't want to climb the planets again.
    • Halfway through the fan bouncing segment, paired with the crown. You'll need to use the grenade jump bubble to get on solid ground and get up to it.
    • Two at once just after collecting the misfit Farrahs. Be careful not to overjump because of the Farrah-boost and miss them.
    • Before the final hallway to the boss fight, on a raised platform. There's cops shooting from on the platform, and it's shortly after the final crown.

  • [big]The first crown[/big] is inside the planetarium, under the rotation of the Earth. The safest way to grab it is probably to ride the Earth a full rotation.
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is halfway through the fan bouncing segment, paired with a chest. You'll need to use the grenade jump bubble to get on solid ground and get up to it.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] is right after collecting the misfit Farrahs, above two chests. Hard to miss, but be careful not to overjump because of Farrah and shoot past it.
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is directly beneath the blue moon in the escape sequence, hovering over some spikes. Ride the Taddlebots to grab, or just eat some damage to jump off the spikes for it.

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]09:30[/big] minutes.

[section=Villain Museum]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]535[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]1[/big] chest. This chest is in the following location:
    • To the left after coming off the ship. It's underwater, but you won't die. Probably. Don't get eaten.

  • [big]The first crown[/big] is with the chest underwater, slightly hovering. Be careful not to jump towards it too excitedly and into the waiting jaws of death.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] is the golden disc in the first room of the museum. Simply jump and grab it, Ben won't mind.
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is in the same room as the vinyl, on a higher pedestal. Jump high, or grenade jump up to it.
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is in the room with the giant bones in it, under some purple blocks. Bust them open and take the goods before moving on to the boss.

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]02:00[/big] minutes.

[section=Farrah's Folly]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]2465[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]3[/big] chests. These chests are in the following locations:
    • Atop the grenade bubble jump above the two dragon launchers. It can be tricky to get around the two purple blocks in the way, and this box isn't worth very much anyway though.
    • In a short detour after the tram segment, easy to see in the floor. A short fall through the hole behind you will lead right to it.
    • Right before the third crown, accessible by grenade jump. Hope you've figured that out by now.

  • [big]The first crown[/big] is easily visible at the first set of grenade jump bubbles. Keep in mind that the wooden beam cannot be landed on, and you must land on the red section.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] is along the tops of the purple blocks at the beginning of the tram section. You can grenade jump onto the first set and walk all the way, or break through and go from the next stopping point after dealing with the ogres.
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is directly beneath the second purple block platform from the second stopping point before the vinyl (when it hits the double line of blocks). Grab the vinyl first, then smash through the middle of the first single block row.
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is over a lava pit shortly before the end of the level. It seems hard to reach, but it's made drastically easier with sticky bombs: one right beneath it, and one on the ground below you, then you chain jump. Otherwise you have to get tricky with normal grenade jump chains.

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]06:00[/big] minutes.

[section=Dr. Cackle's Lab]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]2105[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]1[/big] chest. This chest is in the following location:
    • Visible early in the Walkdroid segment, after being asked why you're at the lab. Not too far out of the way, thankfully.

  • [big]The first crown[/big] is in the third electrified floor section, with terraced floors. You can reach it by grenade jumping off the higher Taddlebots, or by double grenade jumping off safe ground at the start of that part.
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is right after Walkdroid asks if Crow and Mayapple are dating, all the way around the platforming section instead of going through the purple block wall. Doesn't take very long, you're not at much risk of losing Walkdroid.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] is at the end of the sweeping spikeball section, post-Walkdroid. It's in the final pit you can be reached in, so be wary of your health dropping to grab it.
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is inside the cage Cackle traps you in at the end of the level. Can't miss it, literally since the cage skip was patched out in 1.1.

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]06:00[/big] minutes.

[section=Rattletrack Rails]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]390[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]0[/big] chests.

  • [big]The first crown[/big] is on a green car covered in turrets, placed beneath the middle turret. As a general rule, if you kill everything, you will be able to see all collectibles in the level.
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is beneath the first dynamite throwing enemy, claimable as soon as he's been killed. He takes about ten hits to kill, if you're counting.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] is beneath the second dynamite throwing enemy. You may be seeing a pattern here.
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is directly after the fourth dynamite throwing enemy. Ah-ha, pattern broken!

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]07:00[/big] minutes.

[section=Bramble Flats]

  • The maximum gold for this stage is [big]710[/big] Lucre. It contains [big]0[/big] chests.

  • [big]The first crown[/big] is atop the green stalks at the beginning of the level, the first non-flat ground piece of Bramble Flats. It requires a grenade jump to reach, and try not to get hit by flaming ship pieces. They fall at regular intervals, not just once.
  • [big]The vinyl[/big] is directly after encountering Stabile and going down the hallway full of ninjas. Break the first purple barrier, and go as far left as you can. The vinyl is behind some wrecked engine pieces.
  • [big]The second crown[/big] is after the floating platforms with mantis men and dragon cannons, inside the sinking ship. The safest way to get it is to climb the outer engines and drop to it from the ceiling, instead of trying to jump to it from inside the ship.
  • [big]The final crown[/big] is after the last ship platforming section, when all the ninjas start jumping down at you from higher platforms. The crown is on one of those platforms, so you'll need to grenade jump up and clear the ninjas out.

  • [big]The S-Rank Time[/big] is [big]06:00[/big] minutes.

[section=Doom Howitzer]

  • This level has no gold, no crowns, and no vinyl. Your only goal here is to get whatever ending you are shooting for. Given that you've been following this guide, that means you're shooting for 100% Good End or 100% Bad End. Godspeed, evildoer.
