I figured these savegames would be useful for anyone trying to speedrun this game.

This ZIP file includes an autosave at the start each level and a save made right after skipping the cutscene at the start of each level. In the case of P2C2, there's two saves with the invulnerability gained from doing the cutscene glitch in P2C1, and two without the invulnerability. I tried to get the maximum amount of bullet time bonuses, ammo, guns, painkillers, and health. 
To use these saves, you need to drop them into your Max Payne 2 Savegames folder. If you're on Windows and using the Steam version, this folder should be located on your C drive in the Documents folder. You also need to change the name of the savegame you want to use to "savegame" and then a number between 003 and 012. The extra zeroes are necessary.

Alternatively, you can use the Rename Savegames tool to automatically rename savegames to the proper format.

## Installation

If you have widescreenfix installed, simply extract the files **MaxPayne2.Binds.asi** and **MaxPayne2.Binds.ini** into the game folder. ## Configuration

You can bind your buttons in the file **MaxPayne2.Binds.ini** (default Z to save and X to load). Rebind quicksave / quickload keys

This is for Windows Operating Systems only. This batch file will rename savegames into the proper format automatically so they can be read and loaded by Max Payne and Max Payne 2. You can choose to rename savegames into the autosave and quicksave slots if you want, but this behavior is disabled by default. There is a Read Me inside the .zip file that contains more information.

Rename Savegames

This file will edit the Max Payne 2 registry and unlock all difficulty modes from the start, including Dead on Arrival which is required for speedruns. Just run the file and press yes to any conformation boxes. (This file will not harm your PC in any way and does not contain any viruses, if you want to see exactly what it does before running it you can always right click, edit and you will be able to see the code inside)
