General Monopoly Tips

If you know literally 0 strategies on playing Monopoly then here's a few of them, they may or may not be useful for speedrunning but then again this game is almost pure RNG anyway so...

-Aim to get the Pink, Orange and Red properties. Orange properties are statistically the most landed on and they're not too expensive to build on. The properties I would avoid are the Yellows, Greens and possibly Dark Blues (though the payoff you get from them is so absurd it's almost worth it)

-Do not bother with Utilities, the only time they generate you a decent amount of money is when your opponent gets the Chance Card that forces them to move to the closest one and pay double WHILE you own both of them. Other than that the most you can ever make is 120 Cash which is highly unlikely. If you land on a Utility that no one owns just Auction it.

-Stations are debatable, some say they're great since there's 1 station on each side of the board, others say they're not worth it. I wouldn't bother considering the amount of effort it takes to get them all compared to just getting a standard Monopoly though it's up to you.

-Once you get a Monopoly, mortgage everything else you own and build as many houses as you can on them, the payout is worth it if your opponents land on it.

-If your opponent has a bunch of properties that you want to stay away from, one tip is to try and stay in jail for as long as possible

-Once you have a Monopoly, create a "house shortage" by building as many houses as possible but NOT building hotels. If you do this across multiple Monopolies your opponents won't be able to use any houses for their own.

Shortest possible game VS 1 opponent

Player 1 rolls 12, lands on Electric Company and simply auctions it off, giving it to player 2. They roll another 12, landing on  Trafalgar Square and again auction it off to player 2. Finally, they roll a 9 and land on Community Chest, getting a Bank Error in their favour which gives them £200.

Player 2 rolls two 2s and lands on Income Tax which loses them £200, they then roll 11 which lands them on Marylebone Station, they buy it (auction is also possible but the AI is more likely to buy).

Player 1 rolls two 2s, which lands them on Park Lane, they buy it. They then roll two 1s and land on Mayfair, buying it. Finally they roll anything that isn't a 5 and collect £200 for passing Go, auctioning off anything they land on. They then buy 5 houses, placing 3 on Mayfair and 2 on Park Lane before ending their turn.

Player 2 then rolls a 7, landing on Chance and the chance card is to Advance to Mayfair, they are then forced to pay £1400, they end up bankrupt.

It is possible that even with owning properties, that the AI still wouldn't have enough to mortgage to make up the £1400 rent, so theoretically this is the shortest possible game to be played against 1 AI in this game.

If it is possible, this is the only way to beat the Trade Abuse strat

These are the only ones you should aim for at the start to trade with the AI. Cheapest ones aside from brown the AI can land on from the start. Next ones to go for, but aren't worth it are the pink ones. If you can get the set for them then build houses ASAP.
