(Read this first!) Configurations before running Momodora 3
Updated 2 years ago by Sairaan

Runs of the game are typically done on version 1.06. Sadly Steam no longer offers a friendly way to get this. Refer to the following document to download older versions of the game with your Steam account: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TuCir2PQrw8ts7Mv824D6iKJbMsl6F_Yrnd8ZO3VWI4

The most significant change is that the final boss takes noticeably less hits to kill in older versions.

Momodora 3 runs in 60 fps. Therefore please record and submit videos in 60 fps. 30 fps recordings are discouraged but can be accepted if you cannot record in 60 fps.

Due to how every room transition can differ in loading times across PCs, it's highly recommended that you time your runs using the auto splitter for LiveSplit, recording and displaying both [Real Time] and [Game Time] (this is without loads).

Follow the directions here. No need to download the auto splitter file. https://github.com/Ladnok/Momo-3-Autosplitter

Pause Jumping is done by rapid firing pause as you're jumping upward. The pausing skips gravity calculations, allowing you to jump higher.

This is typically done by holding pause on keyboard. For this method, set [Repeat delay] and [Repeat rate] in [Keyboard Properties] of the Control Panel to fastest. http://i.imgur.com/FO8TE1i.png

If you're playing on controller and prefer to not use a keyboard to Pause Jump, or if your default keyboard input causes you to jump much higher than accepted, you may instead use a program to rebind a button to autofire pause. If you use this, please detail the program's name and its settings in your submission. The settings of the program should attempt to replicate a standard case of holding pause on keyboard as close as possible.

It's recommended to use JoyToKey with an autorepeat of 16 times per second and a start delay of 233 milliseconds, without toggle.
