¤¤¤¤¤ This route is VERY demanding in terms of in-game time, you have almost no room for mistakes early in cycle 2. It is recommended that you use the "Standard" route unless you are very consistent ¤¤¤¤¤

This is the latest version of the Glitchless route, updated to fit the new ruleset. Gainers and Damage Boosts are now allowed (strictly midair damage boosts. Long Jumps and Recoil Flips remain banned).

There are TWO variations of the route, both of which are nearly identical in overall speed. This is the "Early Hookshot" version of the route, which gets Hookshot before completing Snowhead Temple. For the "Standard" version of the route, see - http://pastebin.com/AdWjNiPh

If you are new to the category, I strongly recommend you use the beginner route at http://www.speedrun.com/mm/guide/2fn0w . Use this route until you get a stronger grasp of how in-game time works in this run.

Cycle 2:

¤¤ Things labelled with a ¤¤ are the most optimal way to do specific things, I have written them for most of the new strats that have come with this route.

• Inverted Song of Time immediately
• Hit Clock Town Owl
• Exit towards swamp

¤¤ New early bomb/deathwarp strats (only recommended for more advanced runners) -

¤¤ As Human Link Try to get a bomb drop from the first set of bushes directly in front of you. If you do not get a bomb drop, go to the set of bushes to the right, and try for another. If you get a bomb drop from either set of bushes, continue to the Swamp. ¤¤ If you do not get a bomb drop, continue towards the ranch, and try to get a bomb from the 3rd set of bushes outside the Ranch. After this, go hit the Ranch Owl, then go to the Swamp, farming a bomb drop if still necessary. ¤¤ If you hit the Ranch Owl, you will soar directly to the Ranch after Snowhead/blowing up the Goron Race.

¤¤ Deathwarp damage route (only if you get bomb drop) - take 2 hits from Deku babas. You want to have 2 hearts when you get the Pictograph box.

• Potion
• Boat ride
• Sonata

¤¤ Left side palace strat - backflip damage boost onto the fence, backflip to higher fence then to deku flower platform. Wait for the platform to go all the way to the back wall, then start moving again, and shoot out of the flower and fly to the last platform, then to the Sonata area. Saves just over 10 seconds. ¤¤ Alternate deathwarp damage - pull a bomb and take damage from it as you run past the guards. (1 1/2 hearts)

• Right side of Palace, get Red rupee and greens if necessary (need 30 rupees after red rupee) ¤¤ Backflip damage boost onto the fence, then backflip to the other fence to skip guards. Saves a few seconds. If you don't want to do this, pull a bomb and take damage from it as you are passing the guards. (1 heart)
• Gainer or damage boost to the bean grotto, and get both blue rupees

¤¤ If you gainer, pull a bomb immediately after passing the guards in the first section and take damage to it to drop to 1/2 heart.

• Buy 5 beans, deathwarp with a bomb (fast deathwarp is possible)

• Song of Soaring

• Open Woodfall + 1 stick + 10 deku nuts from pots + Woodfall Owl

• Backflip onto tree, to main room

• Go right, bomb from pots, small key, go back to main room and open door on other side

• Light stick, go upstairs with stick and burn web (get 1 stick + deku nut from babas here)

• Upstairs, light torches to next room

• JS Recoil downstairs

• Deathwarp or Song of Soaring to entrance

• Exit Temple

• Song of Soaring to Clock Town

¤¤ You must go into the top area above the Hookshot room and do the pirate CS skip from there because it is daytime.

• Hookshot, catch egg, soar to Mountain Village

-------- Snowhead Temple --------

• Go right, cross room, enter door

• Yellow door for small key

• Exit room, precise Hookshot (scarecrow skip)

• Roll to Wizrobe for Fire Arrows

• Walk to edge of the ramp, turn around and Hookshot to the next floor

• Open locked door

• Progress through next rooms back to main room

• Destroy snowball and jump into the tunnel

• Roll to Wizrobe 2 for Boss Key

• Jump into the tunnel again

• Goht

-------- Ranch Stuff --------

• Go get keg, blow up Goron Race but do NOT do it

• Get Real Keg

• Soar to Clock Town (soar to Ranch if you hit the Ranch Owl earlier)

• Roll to Milk Road, hit Milk Road Owl if you soared to Clock Town

• Blow up boulder

• Talk to Romani, archery + Epona’s Song

• Garo Mask

¤¤ Around here is roughly where you'll need to uninvert if you're playing well to make everything after this in time for Aliens. You'll have to figure out your own timing based on your speed.

-------- Ikana 1 ---------

• Ride Epona to Ikana Graveyard

• Kill Keeta for Captain’s Mask

• Open grave, get Song of Storms

• Exit grave, show Garo Mask to the cliff guy

• Hookshot up to the tree, go to Ikana

• Precise hookshot to skip Ice Arrows, hit Ikana Owl

• Song of Storms in the cave

• Gibdo Mask

• Soar to Mountain Village, win the Goron Race for Gold Dust

~~ Be wary of your in-game time, you may need to invert (aliens are 3:15, 3:30 at the latest)

• Soar to Woodfall, get 10 deku nut drop

• Boss Key

• Back to main room, fire arrow torch

• Hookshot to boss room

• Odolwa

• Exit Woodfall princess area, soar to Clock Town

• Sell Gold Dust, catch fish, buy Keg + 10 chus

• Soar OR roll to the ranch

¤¤ If it's already very late (2:45 or later) you should soar to the Ranch. If you need to burn IGT before Aliens, you should roll there from Clock Town.

• Complete Aliens for Milk
• Soar to Ikana
• Bottom of the Well for Mirror Shield

-------- Great Bay --------

• Soar to Great Bay

• Deposit first egg, go get 3 eggs from either Pinnacle Rock or Pirate’s Fortress (doesn’t matter which)

• NWBN

• Grab a fairy if you're scared of dying to Wart

• Open GBT

-------- Great Bay Temple --------

• Yellow switch underwater, to main room

¤¤ Advanced route - Early Red Turnkey -> Boss key jump -> Small Key -> Ice Arrows (probably saves 20-30 seconds)

¤¤ Normal Route:

• Top entrance, swim through the first room to the one with the Boss Key

• Get small key underwater, swim out to bottom entrance

• Wart for Ice Arrows

• Exit, freeze Octorok for first turnkey

¤¤ Advanced route - after turnkey, go immediately to the "waterfall" room and finish the temple as normal from there

¤¤ Normal Route:

• Swim out, go to top entrance and freeze water in the first room to get to 2nd red turnkey
• Exit, back to boss key room and freeze water for Boss Key early
• Back to main room, go to the “waterfall” room first

( The advanced and normal routes are the same from here until the end )

• Get the green turnkey in there, exit
• Go back to first room of dungeon, turn red turnkey then yellow
• Jump in the water as Goron to void out back to the “waterfall” room
• Swim into the top entrance in middle room
• Get through the waterwheel room + next room, get green turnkey ¤¤ Gainer up the green pipe, roll to the very end then sidehop right and exit the room
• Swim back to main room, go into bottom entrance
• Last turnkey, enter boss door
• Gyorg

-------- Ikana 3 --------

• Soar to Ikana
• Enter Ikana Castle

¤¤ Gainer up the sun block, climb over the fence and enter the castle (if you don't climb over the fence, you will trigger the cutscene and waste ~10 seconds) ¤¤ Set up for a deathwarp inside the castle after Elegy if you want to. Saves significant time, probably 20 seconds or more

• Hit left switch in first room, enter door
• Zora JS onto ceiling, climb onto switch platform
• Hit switch in next room + cross it. Go upstairs
• Throw keg over fence to blow up the floor
• Damage boost over the fence or enter the main entrance again
• Equip Garo/Gibdo Mask, Mirror Shield the block
• Go to boss room
• Elegy

¤¤ Deathwarp

• If you didn't set up to deathwarp, exit the Elegy room, then Soar to Ikana Owl

-------- Stone Tower Temple --------

• Roll to Stone Tower
• STT Climb

Part 1: Elegy on bottom switch as Goron. Elegy on 3rd switch as Human. Jump to 2nd platform, hookshot across Part 2: Elegy on bottom switch as Human. Hookshot up once to beamos platform. Step on switch, step off. Hookshot up once more. Elegy on the moving platform. Part 3: Hookshot up twice. Elegy on the LEFT switch if looking at the owl. Jump to moving platform, elegy on it to enter the temple.

• Enter STT. If it is not Night 3 yet, play Song of Double Time to Night 3.

• Go to left room first

• Blow up wall, solve puzzle using boxes behind the wall + elegy on switches

• Go downstairs

• Use chus to kill all the armos for small key, go upstairs

• Unlock door

• Get small key in water room, swim through tunnel

• Unlock door

• Mirror room puzzle

• Fly across updraft room as Deku

• Garo Master for Light Arrows

-------- Inverted Stone Tower --------

• Soar/deathwarp to entrance

• Exit Temple, step on right switch and Elegy on it to move the platform in front of switch

• Shoot switch with Light Arrow to invert Temple

• Enter Temple, go right

• Shoot block with Light Arrow

• Updrafts as Deku to central bridge, step on switch in tunnel

• Get small key, go back in tunnel

• Gomess early w/ jump

• Gomess for Boss Key

• Exit back to Eyegore room, fly across and enter left door

• Switch by Death Armos, hookshot chest on the ceiling

• Unlock door, kill Eyegore w/ bombs

• Giant's Mask

• Hookshot switch in next room, then hookshot across the room to boss door

• Twinmold with stick PCS + Giant's Mask
