I've noticed that when playing, I can sometimes manage to get a slight speed boost off of a wall when it's hit at the right angle. I was just curious if this could perhaps be used for anything (or if it's even faster at all).
This was answered in the Discord, but I’ll post it here as well so other people can see it if they’re curious. In some specific spots, especially when you’re making a tight turn in the air, some bumps can propel you forward. It’s generally too precise for speedrunning, though, and most bumps just slow you down. Sometimes you can use bumps to correct your alignment, too, but this decreases your speed and is often quite risky.
