if I would add the possibility to skip the pre Monsoon cutscene to my mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/metalgearrisingrevengeance/mods/66), would you ban it?
Okay, cool. I will put it on the planned features list then, but not in the first spot. But I have to finish something else before I come back to modding so it will take some time. To be honest, I'm already able to skip the scene quick and dirty by pressing Return, but I want to deliver a proper solution. My aim is to replicate the behavior of the console versions where you have to open the menu to skip the scene. Unfortunately in the PC version technically there isn't such a menu. There is only one for videos / pre rendered cutscenes and that one doesn't work, I have tried. On top of that it looks shabby because it doesn't reduce the brightness of the scene in the background unlike console versions. So I have to reimplement the menu and... Sorry, I shouldn't spam this thread on a board about speedrunning with modding gibberish.
But there is something else I need to know. Are there other cutscenes like this? Ones that you can skip on console but not on pc? I guess someone who speedruns the game on both platforms should know this better than anyone else.

Don’t worry, feel free to post here. Your mod has helped us a lot. Monsoon cutscene is the only one that cannot be skipped on PC version.
