Medabots AX Battle Controls

Hello! This is just a quick runthrough of the controls and basics of Medabots AX! I'll start off with the controls, since they're fairly simple.

BASIC BATTLE CONTROLS

D-Pad - Movement

D-Pad (Double Press) - Run/Dash

Down+A - Fall Through Ledge

A - Jump (Double Jump w/ Flying Part)

B - Use Right Arm Part

B+Up - Use Head Part

B+Down - Use Left Arm Part

Start - Pause

Select - Use Medaforce

L - Block

R - Change Partner Strategy

Now, these controls are pretty simple, but there are a few more tricks to battle controls I'll go over next. Most are part-dependent, however.

ADVANCED BATTLE CONTROLS

Dual Leg Parts - You can double press up and do a backflip to avoid enemy fire or put some distance between you quickly. Double pressing down will make you enter a crouching stance. (I'm still unsure what exactly this does, but it looks cool!)

Diving Leg Parts - You can double press up to make you jump out of the water almost immediately. This is very useful when you need to escape an enemy who is close by. You also move much faster in the water. Note: Double pressing up to surface out of the water will ALWAYS bring you to the same level, no matter how deep in the water you are. If you are at the very bottom, it will send you to the same exact spot as if you were to use it in very shallow water.

Flight Leg Parts - These are the only legs that allow for a double jump. Also, while in the air, you can double press UP to fly straight across the screen and damage any opponent you fly into. Double pressing DOWN will make you fly in a 30 degree angle down in whatever direction you're facing. This is very useful for distancing.

Float Leg Parts - Float leg parts are unique in that they let you block in midair. Float legs are not influenced by land, meaning ice and vines will not slow you down or make you slide. You can also double press down in the air to fly straight down immediately. Double pressing up in the air will cause you to float momentarily.

Multi Leg Parts - Double pressing either up or down with the multi legs will make you jump SLIGHTLY higher than normal. They also aren't influenced by changes in slope on ledges, allowing for better traversing in the ruins or forest stages.

Tank Leg Parts - As the name suggests, tank leg parts are very heavily armored but slow. However, double pressing up or down while on the ground will send you backwards very quickly; a useful trick to be a little faster with tank legs.

Vehicle Leg Parts - The opposite of tank legs, they are normally very quick, but weak. Double pressing up or down will also send you backwards quickly, just like the tank legs. Although, it is barely faster than running with them regularly. 

Doing nothing for a few seconds will cause you to channel energy and charge your Medaforce gauge! This works across all leg parts.
