This assets_p.dat can replace the original file (save a copy of the original if you want). It will run through Steam without issue. In multiplayer, every user MUST use this assets file if completing races through the custom race editor. Be sure to turn off racer AI to access additional checkpoints!

Midnight Club II: Decade Edition

Courtesy of TEK Vito, running MC2_Decade_Edition.exe instead of the exe that comes with Decade Edition zip folder will now support controllers.

Midnight Club II: Decade Edition controller support

This .exe removes the requirement of third-party software to use the multiplayer function. Save the .exe in your Midnight Club II directory (if in Steam, then C: drive > Steam > steamapps > common > Midnight Club 2),then run the .exe. You may need to allow the file through Windows Defender, your firewall, and any other antivirus software. When in-game, select Networking Mode > Internet (Online) > Username. Enter your username, then proceed as usual. Do not use any filter when Joining a game. Lobbies only show if one is open. The list does not auto-refresh.

*Note: from time to time the patch may not be functional but LRFLEW continues to work on a functional patch as needed.  Latest update: March 8, 2019 (Kibou).
