Every 5 years I try this game again to see if I hate it or not. In 2019 I played the game in 1x speed to plan a 5x playtgrough I got too frustrated when I got to the undead bosses and shelved the project.

The Royal Feat

The start of this quest is very anoying if this is your first time playing Majesty 2 - they key is Clerics and Guard towers - they can fight Flying Serpents from level 1 and won't be spawncamped.  You should only need 2 (the top left and top right corner of the castle") Other heroes can fight as well as clerics once they level up (wizards and warriors being preferable. Once you are settled, you can work on the quests - 1 Arrive at witch 2: Kill 3 Minotaur pyramids (easy_ 3: Kill 5 ghost  (easy) - Once you do all this you can kill the dragon - it will stop regenerating. YOU DO NOT need to kill its lair.

Build everything SOUTH of the palace - the  temple grounds location is to the Top RIght - have 3 rogue's guilds 1 cleric guild, and 2100 spare gold when you finish building the temple. 



This is the first time fighting elementals is mandatory (you've had optional lairs) I recomend FIRST building a wizard tower right on top - do not activate it, but instead put a 700 gold defend flag on it only when it finishes - this will usually get enough rogues/clerics on ANY level, and get them to fight all 3 instead of the (sadly very high) risk of killing just 1 and going back home if you use individual attack flags instead.



Choice of temple has no consequences on future levels, only within this one, so I recomend Krypta.



When you build the Temple , you will be given 2 free level 10 temple heroes, and level 5 temple heroes of the one you did not choose will spawn from 7 portals - Your temple heroes have vastly increased greed against these portals (300 is enough from anywhere on the map) so you only have to worry about your palace defense while the temple heroes go from 1 to 1 on their own after you flag them all - I feel like the simplest solution is to put a defend flag on the palace, and provided that all buildings were to the south, a rogues/cleric combo will wipe the floor with them.

Timed Mission but it's very easy. Eric the Merchant is escorted to the South map edge for 10,000 gold, NOT to your marketplace. The Rogue's Guilds are worth 5,000 and are located as so - there are minotaur pyramids, but they are easy to destroy, although black minotaurs can kill the lvl 2 trading outposts after day 10. - I think JUST one Ranger's guild + 2 Rogue's guild are enough.

The elves from the Top Right are far worse than the Paladins from the Bottom Left (mostly because they have no blacksmith) - The Elves can be held off with a ballista, use the sceptre spell liberally, opponets can survive it if they level up, so DON"T let them. I recomend you kill the paladins since they are fairly exposed. You will want actual dwarf heros besides the tower (although a blademaster or archer of helia also work) for attacking the Rogues because they have 3 mage towers (thankfully unlike shadow of the past, they do not overlap).



The Demon's Advisor

1 of the 4 Werewolf Huts will become active on day 10, but the others will stay off for a while - you can snipe them without anything coming out.

The Dragon will activate day 30, OR as soon as discovered) DO NOT explore to the top right!!

The boss has an Area of Effect Stun, but 1 temple of Helia + 2 DPS Temples + Dwarves can finish it off - the main concern is that you should probbably KILL the greater elementals - if you use Helia as one of the DPS temples, you can do it in 3 Phoneix spells. The Boss will also not react to a wizard tower being built on him so you can destroy the 2 dark portals and prevent him from respawning his greater elementals body guards with lihgtning storm.

You start with a crazy amount of money, but it'll run out  - first off, you want to destroy ALL Dark Portals, Mausoleoms, and Graveyards ( you can leave the 3 Seat of Elementals alone)



I recomend that you build at least 4 trading posts as well. If you do this quickly, tthe game won't spawn too much. Explore EVERYWHERE so you don't miss any, the bottom left and top left side has them jammed ALL the way in the corner, so don't skip. 



The game will tell you to build all 6 temples - the "evil" temples are basically mandatory to fight the boss. The "Good" temples will despawn the 3 Seat of Elementals and any elementals that spawned on map (off map elementals can still attack though)



Try to get as many of the temple heroes at least level 2 blacksmith things before fighting him, and specifically check the 2 healers of agrela to make sure they've bought Potiions.



When you flag the Demon the heroes can fight him for a long time, BUT when his health is about half out, both healers of agrela will probbably run of mana potions - I recomend taking the Attack Flag OFF of him, then spawn the next the next spirit of kings way in a corner to get him out o fthe way. To make sure they re-purchase mana potions, try putting a defend flag on the marketplace, and cancelingit only after they've received at least 1 gold tick from it. 



Just this 1 "attack reset" should be all that's necccesary if you made sure to get upgrades heroes - Wizards are the only non-temple heroes that can particpate, but I recomend fillling out the guilds pre-fight to destroy all the default lairs.

Each hero type has 2 important benchmarks:

Level 10 stats with level 2 blacksmith (for the first 8 missions when you are building restricted)

Level 10 stats with level 3 blacksmith (for mission 9-16)

# Royal advisor mansion

You can mash through the dialog with space or X ... When dialog has a "camera sweep" with it, it also resets game speed to 1x.

# Engine of Commerce 

Build first guild above palace so hero goes right  explore flag instead of opening treasure chests first. Group heroes up defending the nearby trade post. As it finishes; remove degend flag and put foundation  of North and East TP down at same time. Eatch how peasants split up. Placedegend flag on peasant heading north. You want only healers with it. Place a large degend flag on peasant heading east - you want ranger/rogue on it.

To top right of palace - 2xrogue guild 2x cleric 2 guardhouses as buffer.

Get small amounts of XP on heroes smashing wolf den. Once you have attention of al heroes simultaneously attack flag across

# Shadow of the past 

Build market and wizard guild - do not buy wizard heroes! Build rangers and cleric aim trade posts. After first werewolf continue working on L2 palace / blacksnith and inn. Make sure dwarves get L2 armor and stone blood. Use inn to force healers to stay close to dwarves. Research heal spell and send dwarves in.

# The Big Trouble

Make barbarians by promoting warriors. They must already be recruited to benefit from knockback immunity quest. Not retroactive. Elves do 2nd highest damage to boss so taking time to gift them 200 gold for blacksmith etc is worth it.

# Royal Feat

At level start only build marketplace. Wait for dragon cutscene - when you see his intent as guard or palsce then it is safe to place first guild. If you place 2 buildings before his first visit he will almost always attack foundation ! Clear out south and West snake pits and claim outposts. Elves do the most damage to boss by far. It is not safe to level them up on minotaur so have them attack snake pits in north east. 3 rogue guild 2 cleric guild 2 elf guild can beat boss consistently.

# Mortal Foibles

I start wizard guild in top right and a wizard tower protected marketplace to right of palace. Kill bear den before day 5 and only 1 bear comes out instead of 2. Get magic bazaar to right of market and a guardhouse in between them. Do not build trading posts. Get rangers, palace and blacksmith L2. Boss is weak but put wizard tower below fight area so normal enemies don't hit heroes while they're fighting boss.

# Life and Death

First level you can get stun on rogues. Build one or 2 guilds AWAY from castle (by left trade post) so they can get out during final siege. Only need blacksmith 2 and stun to kill elementals on holy ground

# Trouble with Afterlife

Wizard guild on right of start to reveal trade post. 1 cleric and 1 rogue guild for defense. Build up palace and make temple helia. Scout boss. Cast sunstroke on him till he dies.

# Gold of Colyhort

2 rogue guild. Memorize the level. Find top right caravan first and he can get off level by himself

# Bloody offenses 

2 rogue guild. Zombies spawn day 5, vampires on day 11. L1 hero can explore directly to castles before zombies come out. Build wizard guild directly on top of last one you find to speed up killing it.

# Pretenders to the Throne

Keep gold or running until day 12. Get south and east trade post. For day 20 - get 1 cleric guild 3 rogue guild level 2 blacksmith. Use Level 2 inn to make all heroes immune to fear (3 parties) m attack Left city. MUST kill them by day 30 or they start spawning at level 5 instead of level 1. Get level 3 blscksmith before attacking elves

# Demon Advisor

Use rogues to kill ogre dens immediately. Build up to palace 3. Get 2 krolm, 1 agrela,1 helia and research all 3 spells. Attack werewolves only after temple heroes they level up. Kill greater elemental portals (2) some heroes will die. Kill greater elementals by using Helia spell on them. You are now ready to flag boss.

# Return of his Majesty

Build up to blacksmith 3 and all temples. Summon crown somewhere central but not too close to buildings. When boss HP drops 100,000>60,000 remove attack flag and use crown to make him run to corner of map. Make sure healer of Agrela buys mana potions. Now flag hom again. (2 rounds fastest. 3 is safer)
