In this guide I will cover the basics of Live Split and how to set it up.

You'll find the newest version of Live Split here: https://livesplit.org/downloads/ Simply download it and move it to the location you want it to be in.

To get started with Ln2 Speedrunning follow these steps:

1. Open Live Split and rightclick. Chose "Edit Splits..."
2. Type "Little Nightmares" and select Little Nigtmares II from the drop down.
3. Chose the category you are planning on running from the drop down under "Run Category".
4. Activate the Load Removal (By Nikko). This should also start your time after the opening cutscene and split at touching the chair in the end.
5. Add the splits you want to add with the "Insert Above" or "Insert Below" buttons on the left. (Add at least one split for the game)

Next we are going to make sure, that we display both the in game timer (IGT) and the real time (RTA):

1. Right CLick Live Split. Chose "Edit Layout".
2. In the window that opened click the + sign on the left.
3. Chose "Timer -> Timer".
4. You can drag and drop the Timer that appeared at the bottom of the list to any position you want it to be in.
5. Double click one of the timers and chose "Game Time" from the drop down under "Timing Method".
6. Double click the second timer and chose "Real Time" from the drop down under "Timing Method".
