100% Route and technical notes

There is a photoshop map at https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B23r4jQrvSy5VG5BaVczUmxYUkE which gives the location of all the static collectibles. These resources should also be available at https://binarydragon.info/L.A.%20Noire/ (I'll try to keep them on both my website and Google Drive, so there's a backup in case something happens to one or the other). The locations visited during each case, and each type of collectible, are on a separate layer. The numbers of the items in the route refer to the numbers found on this map.

Noire has a bug that makes starting an actual new game difficult, and simply creating a new profile will cause the landmarks discovered in previous profiles to bleed over into the new one. In order to get a clean slate, you need to physically remove the old profiles. The easiest way to do this is to, while the game is not running, go to where they are stored on your computer (C:\Users\[YOUR USER]\Documents\Rockstar Games\L.A. Noire\Profiles AND C:\Users\[YOUR USER]\Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club\Profiles) and either delete both "Profiles" folders, or, if you'd rather not delete them, simply rename them to something else (such as "Profiles123"). When you launch the game, this will prevent it from reading the old profiles.  After launching the game with no profiles, you'll have to create a new one. Simply make a local profile for your run to avoid having to go through the social club signup.

It's also worth noting that most of the time, the game will save when you collect a new collectible or get in a new vehicle. This doesn't always happen though. If you are getting a vehicle near the end of the run, and it doesn't save, the easiest way I've found to force the game to save in this case is to recomplete a quick street crime, as the game will always save after those. Additionally, viewing an uncollected car in the showroom on the main menu, and then quickly loading into the game, will often (but not always) cause that car to spawn somewhere close to the station. This can be used to help collect the last few cars you're likely to be missing after having completed everything else.

How to remove DLC manually

This was an issue for me so maybe others will run into it, but disabling the DLC on Steam may not remove it from the game at all. The solution is to go into the game files [https://prnt.sc/cnn2p_N4ITiu](https://prnt.sc/cnn2p_N4ITiu) then navigate to a folder called "final".
