Here's a video from 2008 getting a float on xbox 360/PS3, years before emulators for the systems existed. Because of the different jump physics it's impossible to get up there normally on the PC version.
As a side note PS3/Xbox 360/PS2 emulators are banned for this game because of loading time differences and for not being as stable as dolphin. here is Mr. Keating getting floats on a real Wii U. people in the kfp discord have also been able to get them on a variety of systems and they appear to work on every version (except DS which is a whole different game).

Oh yea the vid from 15 years ago was clearly on dolphin/pcsx2 despite the fact he's using a costume which are only present on the HD versions of the game and the camera is moving too fast to be the SD versions of the game while also being before emulators of 7th gen of consoles even existed.
