Jelly Escape Any% Guide All Levels
Updated 3 years ago by Aachen

I might do some more runs this summer.

There isn’t any routing for Any%, but there are some things which save time for each individual level. General -You move at the same speed as orange jellies. -You have temporary invulnerability after dying, so you can brute force a few sections. -Bumping your head will give you a greater falling velocity. -This is pretty obvious, but you can control the height of your jump by pressing for different amounts of time. -Pressing space will click whatever your cursor is hovering over (on the level completed screen); the default is NEXT.

If there’s nothing written, the level is easy to do. Lasers=Keys Level 1-Press right as soon as possible. Level 2-Bump your head into the ceiling before you fall, and you will have a greater falling velocity. Level 3- Level 4- Level 5-The fastest way to this level is to do the smallest jump possible at the beginning to land on the second spring in the group of three, and then jump of the fire at the end. Level 6- Level 7-Remember to hold down space as soon as Level 6 ends. Level 8-Bump your head on the first jump with a full jump. Level 9-Bump your head whilst upside down in order to land on the right-side up gravity switch faster. Level 10-It’s possible to skip a bunch of jumps here, but the important thing to remember is to not fall down the shaft. The jump directly after the first checkpoint is the easiest to skip. Level 11- Level 12-Try not to fall down anywhere. Level 13-You can skip the top left platform. Level 14-Walk straight off of the first platform. For the 2nd and 3rd platforms, try to barely make it into the gaps. Level 15- Level 16- Level 17-Try to jump in such a way that you never bump against a wall. You can just walk off for the flame fall: you don’t have to jump. Level 18-The hitbox of the flame isn’t a perfect square. You can use this in this level so you don’t have to wait as long for the blocks to disappear. When you hit the first checkpoint, hold left until you bump into the 2nd flame pillar, and then let go immediately. You should be able to break the crumbling block right under the fire. You can do this again on the right side for the upside down flame, but it doesn’t have a setup, so there is no need to do it. Level 19-It doesn’t matter how first you do the first section, as long as you make it on time to when the blue jelly is on the same position as the exit portal. You can’t jump over the blue jelly if it’s moving away from you. In order to finish as fast as possible, you need to jump over the blue jelly when it’s over the exit portal, since finishing the level overrides dying. Level 20-After the last checkpoint, walk straight off onto the first platform. Then, do a medium jump to make it onto the third platform, and then another onto the non-crumbling one. Jump onto the crumbling platform directly to the left, and then perform a full jump at the edge of that platform, onto the exit portal’s platform. Level 21-SJ (small jump) on the first three gaps, then perform a FJ (full jump) on the edge of the third platform. Time a SJ onto the second platform on the second level, do a MJ across the gap, another MJ to skip fourth platform, and make a SJ onto the wall into the gap. After the red key, during the crumbling section with the 1 block gaps, hold down space. Level 22-You can jump from the start straight to the second pillar. Level 23- Level 24-An easy way to do this level is to just hold down space. A faster way is to clear the gaps without going into the slot-things. Level 25-It’s possible to jump from the start straight to the upper green platform. Level 26-You only need to break two crumbling blocks to get onto the second level. Hold down right when on the 2nd level. On the third level, you can do SJs to get past the pillars whilst on top of them. Level 27-When getting the red and blue keys, you can hold right right after you get them, so you land on the platform with the checkpoint. After you are on the platform, hold right again so you land into the green portal. Jump at the edge of the platform, and you will land in the blue portal and into the exit. Level 28- Level 29- Level 30-When obtaining the red key, you can do a Flame Skip with very precise movement. The goal is to not fall down to where the flames are, even if you get the red key. You have to jump to get the key, and then return to the solid platform before the red ones disappear. The main thing to remember is to not bump your head on where the laser comes out of. You have to hold right for basically the entire time, but you have to avoid bumping your head. It should be easier than completing the skill check after the red key. Level 31- Level 32- Level 33- Level 34-For the final floor, jump out on the last gap with the one flame. A SJ in one of the gaps will let you avoid the orange jelly if it’s coming towards you. Level 35-Start moving as soon as the level starts. Restart if you don’t, since you will miss the timing if you aren’t fast enough. Level 36- Level 37- Level 38- Level 39- Level 40- Level 41-These later on levels have been played a lot less than the others, so I don’t know as much about them. Also, the yellow section would be one of the least complicated in the game, if it wasn’t for the next level. Level 42-This is in my opinion, the hardest of the 60 main levels. Take your time on this one, since time is basically always lost on Level 42 in speedruns. Do the blue key first, then the red, then the yellow, and then the green (it’s done differently in the WR, but it doesn’t matter too much). The main trick in this level is to minimize the amount of time spent waiting for blocks to crumble. They get reset whenever you die, so try to only wait for the blocks twice. You can jump over both small flames at once after getting the red key and switching gravity. If the blocks are already crumbled after you get the yellow key, it is possible to manoeuvre through the flames in the middle, but it is very difficult. If you manage it, don’t hit the gravity switch when falling down. Level 43-Take the bottom path Level 44-Go straight for the switch. Afterwards, crumble a path through the gaps. Jump when in a gap to crumble as many blocks as possible. Level 45-You only need the red and green keys to complete the level. In order to pass through the blue portal, go in it and back, and make sure you stay on the portal block when coming back so you don’t accidentally teleport to the jelly chamber. Level 46-There are two skips possible in this level. The first is right after the first checkpoint, in which you can jump past the single flame to your right. The second skip is known as the Maze Skip, in which you damage boost through the double flames. Kill yourself by jumping on the double flame right before the final checkpoint, and right after you respawn, jump back on the double flame whilst invulnerable, and hold down jump. This should allow you to skip most of Level 46. There are some alternate routes possible. Level 47-Do the keys in the order blue-red-green-yellow. You can reuse the blue portal for all 4 keys. Level 48-This one is also probably an oversight by the developers, but you can use the wrap-around space to do a Heart Skip by jumping straight to the left after the green portal. This deceptively tricky since it requires you to be fast or else you’ll miss the timing window at the end. You can also accidentally go back through portals. The last section also has a somewhat difficult jump. Level 49- Level 50-You can skip the last yellow jelly by doing a FJ straight to the portal. Level 51-This has nothing to do with Any%, but you can get on top of the bottom line of the E with an extremely precise jump. Level 52- Level 53- Level 54- Level 55- Level 56-Don’t go through the yellow portal. Level 57-Bump your head at the start to get maximum falling velocity, although this makes it a lot more difficult. When you get out of the yellow portal, remember to jump onto the small block right after the checkpoint: you will die if you bump into the small block. Level 58-In the bottom (and top) part, it is technically possible to land onto the gravity switches without triggering them by coming at a horizontal angle, but that’s way too hard for RTA. It also saves less than a second per successful landing. Level 59- Level 60-You only need green and yellow.
