After having recently seen a meat boy tournament, I was wondering whether there would be any interest in having a portal tournament (probably inbounds, as that's the most run category).
I would be glad to participate, though I'm not sure I'm good for it, since I have only started yesterday. My record is 30:23 for Glitchless
In my opinion, it's fine for anyone to compete. But the picture that I got from talking to faster runners is that a tournament would be boring because they would easily win most of the races. I don't know though, if enough people are happy to do it I would gladly set it up.
You could use the rankings on speedrun dot com to setup brackets based on your official PB so that it would be interesting for slower and faster people.
Can we do a tournament of every category ? :')
I mean in one tournament, we have to do every categories
I was thinking about the all categories thing, and I was thinking about the idea of only using 3 categories and making each round a best of 3 out of those 3 categories.
I don't know how I'm gonna do sign ups, I was planning on starting soon. Anyone have any idea for how to sign up?
Challonge.com is a great website for tournament brackets. If you log in before creating a new tournament, you can choose to let people sign up via their website.
idk whether to make another thread for the challonge page or to put it here, so I'll just put it here anyway: http://challonge.com/tournaments/signup/LNyVbhxmnm
Also, if anyone has a PB which is not listed on the leaderboard (OoB, Inbounds or Glitchless), please tell me as these will be used to decide the seeds.
Starting today, runs that require video proof (top 25) and runs beyond that where video is the only form of proof, now require audio, as recording audio for only the game is now a native OBS feature.
