Beginner Any% speedrun tutorial

Hey everyone! I decided to do a tutorial on the platforming aimed at people who have beaten the game, and have wanted to start speedrunning! I was in the same boat as you, and only TJ had guides up, but those seemed more for casual players, so I had to look to studying BBF and Tyste's VODs. The problem with this was that sometimes things seemed to just work, and I didn't know why or how at first, nor did I know how to set some things up.

So here, I try to go pretty in depth where I can, on specifics to a lot of the speedrun strats and timings where applicable. All of it was in one take, so I might have forgot about somethings, so if you have more questions, don't be afraid to come to my stream when I'm live and ask me, or comment on one of the videos.

World 4 Skip for Rage-Mode

## In my opinion, it saves ~90 seconds and is the easiest way to complete World 4 on Rage-Mode

# How to do it?

Before trying to make a skip, I take align (you can see it on my clip), then I make a short press to the right for 1 frame to change my align. The next step is to enter the right border of the screen so that I am in the left part just above the bottom surface. If this could not be done, then you need to repeat the previous step with taking align. When you have successfully managed to do this, you need to press the left button for 1 frame a certain number of times. When you are stuck enough in the upper block, you will be able to hold the right arrow button and also climb up. This should be done until Boshy's legs are at the level of the lower border of this block. Next, you need to press the left button for a while and you will fall off the screen
