for one game, a gif trophy wouldn't work until i scaled it down and reduced filesize. so trial and error ig?
series mods aren't necessary anymore now that you can request all changes to a series through the support hub. the only difference in series without mods is game requests have to go through site staff instead of being circumvented, so they have to follow the guidelines
personally the only big issue is that the placement is larger than the actual time of each run. i couldn't care less if my run was 10th place or 100th place, i care about what time i got, so it's weird to me having the former take precedence visually over the latter. in general, i would probably prefer if all of the text was the same size, including subcategories/variables and platforms too - the important stuff feels too small to read.

make sure to fill out the correct dropdowns when you submit.
contrary to common sense, deleting a category doesn't actually remove its runs from the database - they still count towards the sidebar on your profile page, and if you manage to find the url to them you can still edit them. is there an easy way to find all of these runs so i can delete them and make the number accurate again?
i think there was an embed bug that was fixed a few days ago, sr.c's fault not yours.
Editing a run or submitting a new run where the player does not have an account on SR.C no longer works. Pressing the Submit button simply does nothing. Pls fix
the problem with subcategories is the overall level leaderboard will only show runs under the default value, which can be potentially obscuring a large portion of the boards.
you don't have to edit any runs to do this. simply create a new variable for the category and add the two new values, make it a subcategory, then click the three dots and select "set the default for all runs without a value". this will assign all runs in that category the default value of your new subcategory. repeat for all categories you want to add the new subcategory to.
the only argument being made here is for leaderboard clout lol. if you wanna flex your sub-55 emulator time you can do that on youtube/discord/etc, it just won't be accepted on the leaderboards.
it's not nested in that way. every subcategory is just a variable of the highest tab, you just keep adding variables for more layers of subtabs. e.g. the Any% Glitchless category has two variables: Seed Type with the values "Set Seed" and "Random Seed"; and Version Range with the values "Pre 1.9", "1.9-1.15", and "1.16+".
a good start would be to wipe all comments from the site and start from scratch. can't expect runners to retroactively moderate the mess that was already made
For top level categories (see first picture above), please put excessive categories beyond the first 4 in a dropdown menu (similar to how misc. categories worked before). I'd much rather use a dropdown menu to access additional categories, than use a scroll right button, which could take ages on some leaderboards.
literally just remove the arrow altogether lol, it just hides tabs and it's unanimously horrible for games with lots of categories. put it back the way it was before, where all tabs are actually visible and the community can choose how to organize them any way they want to.
