wouldnt be opposed to reverting everything that happened today either lol
It seems that every time on the website that was ran RTA is now internally recognized as "Time without loads."
Every game in my mod hub said "Real time without loads" as its timing method which I thought was odd, so I ran an experiment on one game:
- Tick "separate load times"
- Notice that every time on the leaderboard is in the "Time without loads" column and the "Time with loads" column is blank.
- Change the default to "Time with loads"
- Notice every recent run has a time of "none"
what the fuck lmao
A lot of the statistics now shown on profile pages feel either unnecessary or would be a privacy concern for most people. e.g. why do people need to see how many times I've visited each game I follow and when?
Also the arrow doesn't show up for some people, for example the Misc tab on this game is completely inaccessible: https://www.speedrun.com/bttm/full_game
The ad in the OP leads to Severed Steel.
yeah this is a cool idea, it'd essentially be faster any% without worrying about coins. if someone did a run, i'd be down to add it as a category.
until then, the level leaderboard is basically this same idea but for the individual chapters, if you want to check that out instead.
nah, the development versions of dolphin actually have slower loads afaik. the stable version is accurate to an actual gamecube.
afaik you're encouraged to resubmit especially if whatever issue existed in the previous request is now fixed
When editing a game theme, if I try uploading a transparent gif as the 1st place trophy image, it becomes a still image with a black background. Is this a feature that was removed or am I missing a step? - it works properly in existing games.
while there isn't a category that bans all glitches, we do have restriction categories that each ban a specific glitch:
on the main boards:
- "no cb" bans cruise-boosting, which is the main movement exploit in the game.
on the extension boards:
- "no sba" bans skee-ball abuse, which is the shiny object generation exploit that adds 8 krabs spatulas to the run.
- "no hd" bans hans disable, which is the out of bounds detection exploit.
I'm not a Minecraft speedrunner, but I do have a question regarding the boards: what exactly is the goal of the "Any% - Time Travel" category, before I make any assumptions? To an outsider it really looks like a run that just abuses the autosplitter in Livesplit, nothing to do with fast strategies in-game, so this category has me very confused since it's being represented as the fastest any% completion of the game.
For video files, I use avidemux to make a "selection" from start to end that tells me the time to the millisecond. For runs on Youtube, just use an online retime tool though like the ones suggested.
no reason to use an unofficial version. just play on disc
