So every now and then we have to archive a category or 2 and this becomes a bit messy for the site, Is there any good ways to archive the old runs that are not being used and also when someone submits a run in the drop down menu you can still choose the older categories is there any way to remove this.

What I am asking for mainly is a way to archive categories so the site doesn't look messy.

The only thing I could think of would be to create a category extensions board, name it “Dead by Daylight (Archive)” and put all the archived categories there. But I’m not sure if site staff would approve a new board for that purpose.

I wouldn't give it the category extension game type, unless it is gonna actually be one

Maybe ask the mods of ROBLOX: Flee the Faciltiy how they do it. FTF is a popular ROBLOX game that is based off of DBD, and they also have archive categories like "Survivor Old" and "Beast Old" you can ask them but most likely there isn´t a way to prevent it, I would just recommend rejecting any runs that gets submitted to the archive category like most games do with their archive categories.

the only archive that doesn't make the site messy is copying to a google doc.

That largely depends on what the run is. 

Ex. If it is of a category and said category is a version of a game that isn’t available anymore, then it’s fine to be verified.

See surely this would have been thought of years ago as I bet on a regular basis most games during updates have to archive stuff, It would be nice to create a category called Archive and put all the older categories in that. at least it will be cleaned up.
