If you don't get a reply within a reasonable amount of time after contacting them, you can also request to be moderator of the game using this thread https://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/63nr7

Just make sure to read the OP and follow Tron's advice of reaching out to the moderator first before using that thread.

Something like this is already in place. kirkq removes accounts if someone requests the name and the account has been inactive for a year with no runs. It's not done automatically (no need to auto remove accounts), but something similar to your request is done.

Not entirely sure it's a bot, but a random account posting a random google form link is sketchy https://www.speedrun.com/user/6player6

Yeah, that is definitely something to mention to the mods when/if you submit the run. Some mods don't like videos being split up and spliced together, but given there are no runs like Alcowe mentioned, you should be okay.

If you're looking to do a run of the game and it's not on the site yet, you can request to add it to the site https://www.speedrun.com/requestgame

Go to the game you have a run for and hit the button that says "Submit Run".

Fill out the resulting page, and your run will be submitted. It will appear on the LBs when the moderators for the game verify it.

Rules for emulation differ based on each community. You'll need to ask the moderators of the games if they have any special rules regarding it. However since the games you want to run aren't on the site, if you request them, you'll become the moderator and can set the rules as you like. You can request games here https://www.speedrun.com/requestgame and please give a couple weeks for them to be approved.

As for capture cards, the best standard def one is gv-usb2. It's only around $40 and handles composite and s-video capture. It is the way to go for PS2 and early era gaming. The drivers for it are in Japanese but it's only 2 clicks and there are guides online. I'd recommend picking that up for a capture card.

If you improve your time, you can submit your run as soon as you like. There is no rule that limits how often you submit a better run.

Most people who bot forums on the Internet are probably smart enough to use dynamic IPs to get around that.

That's not entirely true manny.

The blue menu is actually faster because it allows us to skip grabbing an extra elixir and we don't have to worry about menuing it in at some point. Plus we already have a second cottage from the blue trinity in Hollow Bastion.

The reason we don't open the menu in the PS4 version is that it's basically "frame perfect". What you actually got by opening the menu there was essentially a frame perfect pause in order to open it. This happens because PS4 speeds up the loads so much that it's very difficult to get the pause consistently as the game loads straight into the final rest fights. The position of where you kill the Behemoth doesn't affect it in any way as it all loads the same, it's just sped up a lot.

We don't know when soon is.

Development on the site has slowed for a while due to a myriad of reasons, and at this point it's kinda become a meme that the system is coming "Soon™" since it's been that way for a long time. We hope it will be sooner rather than later, but it's probably a long ways off still.

It depends on how active the moderator is. It can take a couple hours or a week or more.

If your run has been waiting for some time (like a week or so), then I suggest poking the moderator(s) on their social media links in their profile to let them know that your run is waiting. In the case of that mod, they logged on a few hours ago so they are at least checking the site, they may just need an alert that your run is there waiting. You can also post in the game's forums and they might get a notification for that as well.

If the mods are inactive and haven't logged on for quite some time and your run ends up sitting for a week or two, then you can request to become moderator in this thread https://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/63nr7

Just make sure to read the OP to be certain that you meed the requirements for requesting mod status. (right now I'd say don't go to that thread since the mod is logging into the site and might just need a reminder).

The majority of the Mega Man community uses their own website found at http://www.megamanleaderboards.net/

A number of Mega Man games have been "mirrored" over here (although its mostly the Mega Man X series, not so much the classics) so that runners can aggregate their runs in a single place on this site, however they still use that website as their "central hub" for speedrunning.

Im sure this is probably the http:// issue.

Make sure you're using https:// as sometimes http:// won't let users log in.

That is a common bug if you're not using https://

although if you're using https already and that happens, then that's strange.
