How did you end up on a 6 year old thread? Genuinely curious. Either way: https://www.speedrun.com/speedrunning/thread/hl23s
it's only been 2 months and hes gone
forum mods idea is dumb imo, always leads to abuse by most people in positions of power, it's rare to see a forum mod not involved in scandals.
What will this accomplish, this seems like a really weird feature to add.

Generally they're quite inactive as there's very little reason to post in 99% of forums unless someone else is asking a question (unless you have one for some reason). Also the general forums shouldn't have much use since this site is build around speedrunning the game you want, so most discussion is held in related discords and whatnot. As for otherwise, finals are comin up in college, so anyone dealing with that will be much less active.
@TheCoosenzOne I have both linked, but apparently having that isn't enough to instantly recover an account.
Someone I knew who does game dev and has sent me several games to try out for him in the past got compromised and unfortunately the guy who got him told me first to go 'try his new game', except the 'new game' was a file that just token logged my account instantly, logging me out of it on all my devices. The only way to get it back, is not through the emails from discord that basically say 'haha ur email and password just got changed loser, go email support' or my PHONE NUMBER connected to my account for 2FA, it's through emailing support, which according to various posts people made can take upwards of 3 days.
Warning: my discord has been hacked, don't trust anything it sends you
I need to wait for discord support to get it fixed apparently, it just sucks. Just figured I should put this out there (and src mods should probably ban my account from the server temporarily)
Don't know who this guy is, but I heard he's got some really shit speedruns: https://www.speedrun.com/user/Sizzyl
(<-does this symbol really count as a letter
Tried to condense everything into a single post instead of having like 10 stickied talk threads: https://www.speedrun.com/talk/thread/us16u/1#kjg2m I think having less stickied talk threads allows for more discussion as more recently responded to threads can be seen.
This is a post trying to cover as much ground as possible for really well known (for better or worse) or interesting talk threads and will try to give a reason for why. If anyone has any recommendations feel free to dm me on site or just reply to this post.
#Real-Life Threads (Threads that talk about life in general) -What do you do outside of speedrunning?
#Reccomendation Threads -Movie/TV/Anime Reccomendations
#Favorite Things Threads -Favorite Games
#Interesting Speedrun-Related Talk -Interesting speedrunning stories
#The "OG" Chain Thread Don't Break the Chain <- This was the first notable chain thread, and the first (to my knowledge) to reach 50 pages. Started many other chain threads.
#Big Chain Threads -Elo Team is Unreachable or I Am Doing It Wrong? <- One of the most unreadable threads ever made, almost every post there reads like a shitpost -What if someone kept dumping their own thread? <- a very dumb experiment by me to see what would happen on the talk forums if someone keeps bumping their own thread, the experiment hasn't concluded yet. -Word Game <- the next posts starts with the last letter of the previous one
Technically it never dies until everyone allows it to. All it takes is 1 idiot to bump it.
Not sure if stickying any talk threads other than maybe speedrun stories like someone said before would be useful for that, most threads are joke threads or chain ones which aren't that great for discussion.
@Cyool what type of crash message do you get from OBS? Are you also sure you're turning down the output resolultion low enough so that your computer can handle recording?
