What the title says, and is there anyway to get around this? He doesn't always do this.
There is actually another run that he did, (5:11.03 on his channel not retimed) I retimed using his timer, I'm not sure if patterns are different and if they would apply for PAL with the spreadsheet, but I noticed, that his timer was actually a little bit off, he started 0.10 seconds early, and ended 0.02 seconds early as well in that video, so it would give him a 5:10 actually. Funny that it took 4 years to notice this.
Oh jeez, that looks annoying
Probably just you, number shows up as just words for me (or nl_lmber)
Edit: Weird
Actually this is the PAL human WR,(retimed 5:10.91) He didn't upload this one, probably because it doesn't actually improve the time by a second so he didn't upload it, but this is indeed the true WR that was recorded.
I wouldn't think that all the subpixels would have the same possible number of frames that you can jump on, your probably right, but the most common subpixel is D70, most likely to get as well, but yeah, it's probably true that there are less frames for different subpixels. I just made this because I was curious myself to see how many frames you actually have by using a TAS, then I made a video out of it.
Also something to note, is that the later you jump, the more specific amount you must hold left and jump, like for example, on the 4th frame possible, you must hold left for exactly 5 frames. I haven't experimented with how long you can hold jump, and I haven't experimented with the other frames, was just a curious experiment
I have this TAS, I was curious to see how many frames there were so I made a TAS to test it out, and here it is If you don't like how I was trying to be exciting then ok If you already knew this, nice
Thanks
I have this video, and I think I did it perfectly, but the game still crashed, does anyone know why? Is that normal?

You could go for PAL WR instead PogChamp the WR is 5:11 by Miqoou PAL is a good challenge, much harder than NTSC
I just jump on the stair and hope I don't die, I don't really see any difference. But it won't be a problem anymore if you go for BBG Kappa
Experimentation, trial and error, testing
JoshKeys and Miqoou both play PAL, both have runs submitted on this leaderboard
I would think more people would look into it, because if it is discovered then PAL would be faster than NTSC with enough of those tricks. But maybe not.
So I thought I might try this game out, I am playing on FDS emulator, Nestopia, and I have this FDS rom that I am using. It looks fine but I get 6 fireworks when the timer says 370 or has a 0 at the end, and I get 3 fireworks when the timer says 369, or has 9 at the end. Also for some reason if I pause the game then unpause it and I have one of those digits on the timer I get no fireworks. I am very confused as to why this is happening, can someone pls help?
@KingOf_JonnyBoy No, it's faster than normal two frame setup Does a 1 frame setup even exist? I've never encountered one Btw the one frame jump at the beginning of the room also gives a 2 frame setup, proof in darbian's clip of "WHY MAN WHY" Even without hopping off the coop
Waiting -3.62 seconds instead of -3.27 may very very minorly help you, because if you happen to be "perfect" (not including any BBG, FPG, none of those hard tricks) when you arrive in 8-2, and stomp on no koops, the koops before the big pit will be high so you can go under him if you have -3.62 delay, but he will be low and you will have to jump over him if you have -3.27 delay. That's just what I suggest because that koops has killed way more runs than it should have for me.
