Whether that's adding new listings for a particular type of Speedrun, adjusting the Rules for an existing one, or any other types of concerns, it will be handled here!
Feel free to throw in your input if you plan on running the game or have any ideas for it! =D

In case anyone has noticed the sudden changes to the Game and wondering what's going on we're currently overhauling a lot of things for the Leaderboards of MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA as well as adjusting the Moderation Team by adding another Member @Habble who has been one of our Reoccurring Runners of the Game.
Over the next few days you may see multiple changes to Current Categories or Additional Categories added.
Also we just updated the Individual Character Leaderboards to Include Mario Gallo Bestino & Powered Ciel who are the latest FREE DLC Characters added with the most recent update :D
Hey Everyone! I'm here today to announce......
The King of Fighters XV SPEEDRUN Events!
To help encourage & support The KOF XV Speedrun Community with interesting activities other than just submitting entries to the Leaderboards! Starting us off with our 1st Event......
The Omega Rugal Boss Challenge Mode SPEEDRUN Event
We wanna see the Top 3 Fastest Times of who can actually beat Omega Rugal in the New FREE DLC Releasing which has Boss Challenge Mode.
Now you might be wondering "What makes this Event so SPECIAL?" and to that I would say
The Number 1 Winner of the Event will receive a Digital Steam Gift Card Credit equivalent to $10 USD! Which they can use on whatever they want!
All KOF XV Platforms are available to use to enter for this Event however Steam currently is the only easy & reliable system that is capable of International Currency Credit Conversion if necessary which is why we're using Steam as opposed to Xbox Live or PlayStation Network.
Additionally depending on the Region of the Winner the exact method of how they will receive their Prize will vary & will be sorted out through Direct Messaging.
This Event will ONLY BE GOING FOR 2 WEEKS starting on April 14th 2022 exactly when the Rugal DLC is added & will be ending sometime on April 28th-29th 2022 (Depending on Timezones)
To Participate you will need to review the following:
1. Submissions can be done on any Platform for KOF XV.
2. All Entries MUST have a Recorded/Captured Video Submission of the full fight and end time uploaded to somewhere viewable via Speedrun (YouTube, Twitch, Etc.), you can use a Recording/Capture/Sharing Methods as Console Capture, Capture Cards, OBS, Etc.
3. The Recording must include the Character Selection up until the end of the Fight when the In-Game Timer is shown on the screen with the Win Results. (The Main Fight being Submitted is the Main Focus so there's some wiggle room but you have to Include the entire Full Fight. Now that we know we can Quickly Restart the Fights you don't necessarily have to Include the Character Select.)
4. Submissions for this Event will be done in the Boss Challenge Leaderboard Omega Rugal Sub-Category with the Hashtag #SNKSPEED as well as a Comment in the Description saying "This is for the Omega Rugal SPEEDRUN Event" to make it easier to find.
Runners can still submit regular speedruns to the Boss Challenge Omega Rugal Sub-Category even if they are NOT Participating in this Event if they choose to do so, if you are just submitting to the Leaderboard just do it like you normally would or include a Comment in the Description saying "This is not for the Omega Rugal SPEEDRUN Event".
Additionally other than the Boss Challenge Event that we are running on the Speedrun Website we would like to Cross-Promote another Event running simultaneously on the SNK Official Game Studio Partnered Discord run by the Official Game Studio of KOF XV.
Their Event has similar Rules to ours on Speedrun, a similar $10 USD Equivalent Digital Steam Gift Card Credit, and will be running during the same 2 Weeks as this Event.
Also on the SNK Official Game Studio Discord there will be another Prize:
The Top 3 Players on The Server with The QUICKEST TIME to Defeat Omega Rugal Uploaded & Posted on the Discord Server will be receiving a BRAND NEW ROLE created for The New Boss Challenge Mode in KOF XV!
All the Details for that Event in the #satella-announce & #satella-speed channels on the Official Discord Server.
Both Events on Speedrun & The SNK Discord are Independent of one another so IT'S NOT REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN BOTH EVENTS however SINCE THE RULES ARE BASICALLY THE SAME YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN BOTH EVENTS AND WIN BOTH EVENT'S PRIZES should you choose to do so.
The Same Videos used for one Event can be used for the other but you would want to include a note stating that you're submitting for both Events in your Entries for both locations as you would have to submit an Entry both on The SNK Discord and Speedrun.
If you have any additional questions about this Event feel free to also ask about the Competition in this Thread.
Anyways Good Luck everyone and let's see who can Defeat Omega Rugal the Fastest! :D

After some feedback, review, and some unfortunate delays because of IRL Events preventing me from doing this sooner we finally have Category Variables for the Emulated & Console Versions of the Game.

Taken care of.
Sorry this took a while, other than having to go through a variety of Console Variants for differences I had Important IRL Events happening at the same time for the past week so I wasn't able to update it as quickly as I would have liked but we have Console as a Separate Category now.

Ah well typically for many Fighters, Normal = Default/are interchangeable, Guess I'll specify just to be clear.
It specifically says "Default" in the ILs so that's all Default Settings for everything, had it that way for now just to gauge & see if there would be any actual interest for ILs.
They're the same Rules as the Usual Default Runs except Character is specific, I put the same Rules Description with it when they were added in so I'm not sure why it's not showing up other than Site error.
Yeah we'll probably add that in the near future but with the DLC just added in & the potential for more additions to the roster it might take a moment to get everyone listed.
@H20Happydude Yeah we're already working on seeing what can be done with the Switch Version of the Game and once we're sure of everything we'll update the boards.
The Game itself is pretty niche & doesn't require 24 hour constant vigilance since it hasn't been getting nearly as many entries as you may think outside of the one's you've been doing rapidly since on average we only get submissions close to 1-2 a Week by multiple runners, which is well under the 2 Week Check for most submissions on the Speedrun site.
Also while you might currently have the most records here between all the Categories that's still with some stipulations since they're not all 1:1 on the proper ruling but given the benefit of the doubt that they followed them which is why not all them were approved since a couple of entries did miss some key details for a proper submission.
If the Game suddenly became more active with a ton of different runners giving submissions more actively than the Weekly Basis we've been getting, in terms of experience, there are other Users on the Leaderboards here that I believe are more qualified than yourself because they've been on the site longer and or have previous Moderation Experience with other Fighting Games on Speedrun.
I'm not opposed to adding more Mods to the Game but at the moment the Game isn't so SUPER POPULAR that I think it needs it right now. Should more Mods be needed later on I'm willing to ask between the other Users who have Submitted towards the Game who have previous Moderation Experience with other Fighters but currently where the Game is at in terms of how many submissions we're actually getting on average right now, I don't think it needs more the moment.
I went with the earlier suggestion of having a specific Survival Mode Category with specific amounts of Opponents KOed being Milestone Limitations as Sub-Categories for those who can defeat the set amount Opponents the fastest.
Since Survival Mode by it's very nature is about "SURVIVING" as long as possible the Original Rule Set is remaining as it's own Category as well maintaining the Ascending Order.
The Default Settings for Both Categories are remaining as Any for now since this is already dividing up an Obscure Category for the Game into Multiple Variants and whether they actually end up being runned by Multiple Runners who would be legit interest in running any further Modifications to the Survival Mode Categories would have to be seen over time after these current adjustments.
Alright I condensed a lot of the Category Difficulties into Sub-Categories under a Main Category for many of the Modes, however bare in mind that many folks may need to resubmit some runs since the Category they submitted for may not "technically" exist after everything got condensed since we have Sub-Categories for Difficulties now (I'd also like to remind folks that you do need to show The "System Settings" for Runs and not just the "Game Settings").
I also made a whole separate Category for Boss Rush which includes both the Normal Boss Rush and the Free Battle Variants.
As for Individual Character Variables & ILs as mentioned before it might be possible further down the line, but as said earlier we don't want to fragment an already Niche Game so the Main Focus is to get the Main Leaderboards running first. If a lot of the Runners after running one or a few of the Main Leaderboards first expresses interests into running Character specific stuff then it will be considered to be added in sooner than later.
