Just a heads up to make things a bit more "Streamlined" I archived some of The Extra Difficulties in The CFC2 Version of SFA3 UPPER, These Difficulties can be Unarchived should anyone Submit any Runs in those Difficulty Levels but for now We currently have The Difficulties that Most Runners typically Run when it comes to SF Games 👍
OKAY! Just finished Revamping / Re-Categorizing all of Project Justice so that it's Categorized by The Two Categories of Story Mode & Free Mode then Sub-Categories based on Platform then Difficulty Settings & Rounds then unique Variables Exclusive to each Main Category 👍
I also cut down The Difficulties so that it's currently only The Difficulties that are being runned as of right now, but should anyone Submit anything outside of those Difficulties, more Difficulties can be added in Later! 📝
The only things that still need to be looked over is some of @Dynamoxtyle's Runs to determine which ones are actually GOOD ENDING or BAD ENDING because Twitch's Video Player was being "Difficult" Today when I was Reorganizing all The Stuff on The Leaderboards & was not Playing / Loading Correctly for some weird reason so I'll fix that later when Twitch isn't being as Difficult 😅

As mentioned in The Previous Post there were Discussions about Revamping & Re-categorizing The Overall Capcom VS. SNK 2 Leaderboards.
Recently The Boards have actually been Streamlined & Separated by Mode Category & by Console / Platform.
Difficulties have also been Streamlined with Default Settings Rules being listed Individually for Most Ports of CVS2 & for Capcom Fighting Collection 2's Versions of CVS2 since Capcom has different Default Settings for it & uses Different Terminologies for The Settings & EX Settings in CFC2.
"Final Secret Boss" has also been divided up to whether you do Not have an Encounter or by Encountering Akuma/Rugal or by Encountering Shin Akuma/God Rugal".

Okay so for SFA3's Speedrun Leaderboard for now I made a NEW "Capcom Fighting Collection 2" Category with The New Terminologies that Capcom uses for SFA3 UPPER in case someone decides to do a Speedrun of The Game using The New CFC2 Collection 📝
For CFC2 We also added in a Sub-Category for Alternative Modes of play outside of Regular Arcade Mode like Dramatic Battle Mode, Survival Mode, and Final Battle Mode which are all accessible by doing Special Button Combinations in The Character Select, as well as adding in Options for ALL The Difficulties available in The CFC2 Version of The Game like The Exclusive Capcom Collection 0 Stars Difficulty only found in these Recent Capcom Fighting Collections!
Other Notes worth pointing out is that these Capcom Fighting Collections BY DEFAULT have 1-Button Supers & Specials as part of their Default Control Schemes & that includes this Version of SFA3 UPPER so you can use them during your runs should you want to!
Also if you check The Game's EX Setting there's Toggles for "Secret Characters" set to "Enabled" by Default but still require certain inputs to access those Secret Characters so We added "Final Dictator" as a Character for SFA3's Leaderboards and there is another EX Setting for "Crouch Cancel" which is set to "Off" by Default as well.
We're also using The CFC2 Category to try out New Layouts for SFA3 in General so if you would like to see any of these New Organized Sub-Categories for Other Categories / Versions of SFA3 on The Board feel free to mention it~!
In the event it is seen as "Too Many Options" We may consolidate them a bit more in The Future but We'll see how it goes for now.

Ahhhh I see, yeah I thought about setting an ANY% up for Emu but was waiting to see if anyone was interested.
I'll tell you what, If you Submit an ANY% following The Guidelines of showing your settings & Emulator Config like regular run but modified to how you want them set I'll see about adding it in 👍

Hey just noticed the New additional things added now that The Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Versions of Capcom Fighting Jam / Capcom Fighting Evolution are a thing now, so thanks for adding it in!
By the way, I was curious to see if We could actually get an additional Sub-Category Shin Akuma Toggle for New Any% Category?
Thinking it over the folks who would deliberately go after Shin Akuma in Any% would actually be punished for doing so since you can deliberately make it so that you don't trigger Shin Akuma and only face Pyron which would technically save time for The All Runners who just face Pyron.
The thought occurred since I've been going over all The Games in CFC2 & plan on doing additional Runs for Capcom Fighting Jam / Capcom Fighting Evolution soon since those Initial CFC2 Runs weren't exactly optimized but now that We've all had more time with this Newer Version of The Game I've been thinking of ways to save time and immediately noticed that without a Sub-Category Toggle for Shin Akuma in Any% you pretty much would never want to get Shin Akuma as a Boss in Any% lol
Anyway just some thoughts about one way how to go about it, love to hear all your thoughts on it since this something that was only thought of recently thanks to the game getting a booster shot due to the CFC2 Version & thinking about how to get faster runs & realizing that Shin Akuma would actually be a liability in an ACTUAL Any% without Toggles.
With The New Remastered Version just Releasing & Players expressing interest in SPEEDRUNNING The Game now that it's more readily available We opened up this Thread to discuss The Categories for The Game.
Whether that's adding a new listings for a particular type of Speedrun Category, Adjusting The Rules to an existing one, or any other types of concerns, it will be handled here! =D
Okay so for CVS2's Speedrun Leaderboard for now I made a NEW "Capcom Fighting Collection 2" Category with The New Terminologies that Capcom uses for The CFC2 as well as The EX Setting Toggles for "Game Version", "Secret Characters", and "Same Characters on The Same Team" they added just in case someone decides to do a Speedrun of The Game using The New CFC2 Collection as well as adding All The New Platforms to The Game Page 📝
Before anyone asks why there's TWO Difficulty Variables for The CFC2 Category, That's because before CFC2 Released CVS2's Speedrun Leaderboard used Broader Difficulties like "Easy", "Normal", "Hard", etc. with Specific Difficulty Stars Chosen for those Levels rather than the Exact Difficulties Stars & for CFC2 so I decided to include The Exact Difficulty Stars FOR NOW since someone New to Running The Game might want to pick a Specific Difficulty Star Level.
Making it so that The New Difficulty Variable would only appear in The CFC2 Category would involve making a Difficulty Variable for ALL Categories & Re-categorizing EVERY CVS2 Run, which besides being a momentously large task, isn't viable right now since many of us talked about the possibility of Reorganizing things for CVS2 in General for Versions & Ports on Discord Servers for Fighting Game Speedruns and it would make sense to only OVERHAUL something like this after all of that settled and figured out.
Now for CVS2 CFC2 eventually We might end up still using The Old Difficulty Settings in the end to make things easier & not have to rearrange things but FOR NOW We have The New Difficulty Variable in The Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Category with The New Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Terminologies and The Runners setting the Second "Difficulty" to Easy Default for now with their being an Explanation in The Rules 📜

If you're concerned about The PS4 Loadtimes then I'd recommend submitting to IGT since that uses The In-Game Round Timer during the Matches not the Loadscreens and manually doing math to figure out your total time

The Game is still "Active" / being worked on so there's a chance MORE Settings will be added over time, that and there's still the possibility of someone winning via time out. At the moment it's more or less a place holder since we are still in that grace period of the game getting updated to in include more features so it is still around should someone would have wanted to mess with Settings that are available to edit since they can still play a slight factor.
BTW YouTube is still in The Middle of TRIMMING IT using The Built-In Video Editor so it should be a shorter Upload once it finishes 👍

@corlist We'll take note of that as a possibility for the future but as of right now We're doing pretty easy / straight forward Time Measurements with having Optional Toggles for Standard IGT & RTA.
The Game is BRAND NEW & introducing Extra Steps to do timing at launch might alienate New Runners from participating a bit.
It should also be noted that some of The Modes outright give The Player a Time at the end too so that's also factored in.
Also take note of The Latest News Post The OFFICIAL Release Date is April 24th 2025 (More or Less because of Time Zones) and SNK has requested for Arcade & EOST Mode a Spoiler Restraint Embargo Period Until April 24, 2025 at 11:59 PM (PDT) / April 25, 2025 at 2:59 AM (EDT)!
During Early-Access We'll be open for Suggestions of Potential Categories and Rules while waiting for The OFFICIAL Release Date to happen later in The Week before accepting Runs so as to prevent Runner's Uploads from potentially being flagged as "Spoilers" until The Restraints are lifted on The Times listed above.
