I second this, but I think the hill should be fixed first. Are you sure Benau is going to fix Nitro Island? It's been 2 months lol. If not I can take a look at it.
I don't know if Subsea will ever be fixed. I tried fixing the problem in Blender but wasn't able to export the track. I'm not sure if that's me being awful at Blender or if it's an issue with the .blend file. :(
I was thinking, maybe we should have a non-glitch category for tracks that were recently fixed? The rule would be: you can't do anything that wouldn't count the lap in the newest version. It would only apply to ILs. That way ILleaderboards could be more applicable to currently updated add-ons.
Currently High in the Sky is the only affected add-on. Origami Animosity was also patched but the "exploit" there was slower anyway, so the record doesn't do it.
As Theodore has pointed out, the tracks where there is a checkline at the finish line (Antediluvian Abyss, Volcan Island, Zen Garden, Oliver's Math Class, Around the Lighthouse) have the problem where you can trick the timer into thinking you finished earlier if you hit the edge of the finish line. Since the time that appears is not the true elapsed time, and since the time discrepancy is known to be 1/24 of a second, we think it would make sense to adjust for this from now on. If @Fouks or @Alayan agree to this I can go ahead and make the adjustments.
(So in the future, whenever this checkline bug is present, we would add 1/24 seconds and round up to the nearest 1/120 of a second).
Sounds good! Also, there is a new featured track, Nitro Island, that doesn't seem to have any exploits. Should it be added to the mod? It wouldn't be one of the better tracks, but it is indeed featured and all (unique) featured tracks so far are included if they don't have any major problems.
The GP categories are a big mess lol. But yeah, RTA makes more sense. It's weird that 0.9.3 and 1.0 have completely different rules in the first place, but I get that it would be hard to change that now.
Also, it seems that Alayan is in agreement. https://www.speedrun.com/stk/thread/duwxm
Also @GumballForAPenny, I see your post on the forums now that you're running into an error when trying to upload it
Welcome! Revision 2 looked good to me, so assuming Revision 3 fixed what kimden mentioned (it looks like it did based on the forums), it should be ready.
As an update, tempAnon has a release candidate now: https://forum.freegamedev.net/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=12540&start=25
So you can check it out to see if it's good now. Everything seems good to me!
Hi everyone! I have another question. In the "No Level Skips" category, I notice the runs get stars to unlock the bosses, but would you be allowed to use menuing tricks to play bosses without enough stars? (You'd still be playing every level in order).
