I feel like the same specific amount of votes for EVERY category/changement everyone'd like to be done is kinda wrong. Talking about adding categories, I guess the more a category is arbitrary/similar to another one, the more it'd need votes. Setting insane amounts would be just bad, since not a lot of people frequent these threads. Talking about making a category miscellaneous and viceversa, as long as no one is putting votes against what you're voting to, it doesn't really require a specific amount too. But I think we'd really like to set a max number of main categories, or maaaybe use the sub-categories option like it's been done w/ Super Mario Sunshine (http://www.speedrun.com/sms) (I actually don't know how it'd look, not really good I think ._.) Also, about the ILs thing, I honestly think choosing a powerup for every level and set it as a category would be arbitrary but if the community is fine with it, I'm fine with it too. Especially because the powerup we'd stick with would be the fastest one, right? Maybe setting ILs category like ¤no powerups/mushroom¤ ¤fire flower¤ ¤blue shell¤ ¤mini¤, would be better, I don't know. About adding all exits, I think it's just too soon, until I see at the very least a run of All Exits.
My votes go to: Any% Secret World to be added as a category All Castles to be added as a category Any% NSE to be a Misc. category ¤it's the most second ran category, but the only video proof we currently have is just one by GregLvk (mine is coming). Any% on IWs

Also, Any% SW would be warpless w/ world 4 instead of 3 and the warp at world 4 to w7?
Guys keep in mind EMUs are not banned but hidden by default.
Having powerups w/o reserves is just half of it and having two columns would be too much maybe. I'll probably try with both.
Also, fastest powerups change a lot, I guess we couldn't really stick to a powerup for every level, even deciding level per level wouldn't be that good.
Nice. Also, one note on 6-3. Waiting for the cycle instead of damage boosting is faster by 1 IGT second overall. 6-3 w/ damage boost: 367 6-3 w/o damage boost : 365 An optimal fire flower pick would cost arouund 2.5-3 IGT (maybe more).

So, I'm going to change ILs so that the exit option will only appear with levels that actually have an alternative exit. If at least more than one person would still prefer Alt Exits as separate ILs like NSMBW leaderboards, I'm probably going to set them like that. I need opinions ;-;
Before being added as a mod, I suggested to add a column for low% runs (no-powerups) like it's been done in SMG2 for banktoads. I guess your idea is more complete, I agree with you. Still, reserve items drastically change Ils themselves. Should we have: Fire Flower; Fire Flower in Reserve Fire Flower; Blue Shell in reserve ecc... ?
Good luck w/ warpless, going to practice it when I'll have a decent Any% NSE run w/ video proof.
@lachy3923 mmh the best tip I could give would be checking for faster strats and improving consistency. In this game, it's easy to lose a lot of time.
@lachy3923 mine was just a suggestion, I'd find all the categories entertaining, I just don't really like Any%. But yes, I think Warpless/NSE wouldn't be bad at all.
I'd like to see you guys racing warpless : O (AceBentura is pretty good too).

If anyone is gonna submit anything, I'd consider submitting not any%. I mean, any% is the most popular, but imo it's the worst one ; _ ; All Levels would be an interesting category actually but I think it'd require around 2 hours and it's super risky. I guess low% wouldn't be that bad too, it's not really safe but fun.
EDIT: looking back to AGDQ 2013's run, ye, it wasn't really good, but I think getting proper cycles and tricks would actually make this more interesting, especially with a race.
I'd like to see NSMB more in GDQs, but I believe there aren't a lot of runners out there of this game that would/could run it. Also, even entering on the schedule would be kinda hard, this AGDQ NSMB2 (by Greenalink) got rejected in both Any% and Warpless. I myself may consider trying but I'way too far and young.
If a "decent" runner of NSMB is going to a GDQ anyway, submitting doesn't really cost anything.
Currently, that category would be too arbritary, at least until NSMB's popularity grows and we get more times, if what you mean is something like 96 on Super Mario World. That could potentially involve a quite different routing compared to All Levels, but I kinda doubt that.
I just finished adding Lman's ILs, let me know about eventual mistakes. There are still a plenty of ILs I'm going to add.
@LightOfEon I got surprised more than once on how much this game can be optimized. And yes, I tend to agree with the recoveries thing, I mean, some recoveries can be "universal" but still.

@LightOfEon Probably, IL WRs are kinda free since there isn't much competition and the fact that we keep times IGT and not RTA w/ ms doesn't really help. But yes, it's a fun level to execute, I believe there's still room for improvement.
I guess someday we'll have to make some recoveries/alt strats/a different route because for now, getting a run with all the right things seems insane, I like it tho.
Oh yes I see, still, it would look a bit confuse and places would only appartain to the runs with faster exits. I don't know
