I've been trying to beat 3.09 for months, because someone got 3.08 which in my head was impossible, then someone got 3.06 which was even crazier, then someone got 3.04 then 3.03 and now 3.02, on 3.04 3.03 and 3.02, they show different methods to beat level 1 quicker, so I tried and it didn't work, so how do you speed up?
I have the same problem. Going straight is done between 3.22 and 3.18. I learned the basic techniques that you probably use too and was able to do 3.14. Then I don't know what they do (it's hard to understand on the video precisely enough). I think we should ask @BNJ45 or @avocado3699 (current WR owner and 2nd place).
A very good explanation by @Konijntje imo:
press “up” briefly, then release to make the front wheel fall down (to gauge how long to accelerate, check where the front wheels land in the existing replays),
- press “up” again when the front wheel touch the ground. You should get a noticeable boost. If no boost is seen, abort here.,
- about 3/4 on the ramp, press “down” to control the jump,
- when the car has landed again (or it's on his way to), press “up” till the end,
The art consists of choosing when to press “down”. Your target should be to time the “down” key to keep the car as near the ground as possible (so that you can use the final flatland to accelerate) but without losing speed on the ramp.
The Drive Mad mobile application was updated with an ingame timer that now features decimals up to 1000, while the normal one is only up to 600. Because of this, any runs done on the 1000 decimal timer are retimed by multiplying the decimals by 0.6. So as an example, for a run that has an IGT of 3.7
